Hi Everyone...

I am new here - well not new to OH (been a member since Sept/07) but new to this "WLS Surgery In Your 20's" forum - I didn't even know it existed until last night when I am came across it totally by mistake - but I am so glad that I did. I have seriously been lacking people around my age who have had the surgery - in fact I only know of one other person my age who is going for the surgery.

So let me introduce myself:

My name is Erin, I am 23 and I had my RNY on February 8th 2008, putting me as of today at 9 days post-op.

Anyways, just wanted to say "hi" & I look forward to sharing our journey's together!

Thanks everyone!! I am doing awesome since surgery! Getting through my protein shake week was rough!!! Now that I am onto cottage cheese, applesauce, yogurt and mashed potatoes I am doing much better.  Although since I have been home the two things I want most is first a homemade cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and ketchup with a COLD Pepsi - but that too has calmed down since my first few days home. Truly though what keeps me going is that I have lost 14+lbs (that was Feb. 10th) I am currently waiting for my scales to come in the mail & secondly I have lost 7.5" off my body!!!
