Help !!!! I addicted again !!!
ok folks I am almost 4 months post -op and unfortunately i have found out that almost NOTHING makes me dump....so..... I have been carb-ing it up here for at least the past week (damn girl scout cookies set me off )!!!!!! I need some major advice on how to stop the cycle now !!! and get back on track.....I didnt have this surgery to screw it up so please help!!!
p.s. I have not been over eating ....like to the point of pain or any thing..... just a bite here and there but then I am full and not getting enough protein and water in daily.
Do you food log? If not, start - a lot of times seeing in black and white exactly what you are consuming in a day will help to keep you on track - I find I think twice before I have to hold myself accountable for what I am eating - plus it will help you learn how many carbs/calories/fat/sugar etc is in a 'treat'. The bites here and there can be the most dangerous because they add up.
Find other healthier alternatives - if you are low on protein buy soy crisps/crackers so you are getting crunch and protein, for sweet treats find good SF or NSA alternatives - popscicles, SF pudding, SF jello etc.
If you are going to have a 'treat' make a concious decision to do so and enjoy it. When you mindlessly eat (i.e. bites here and there) you tend to eat more because you dont get 'satisified' from the nibbles you are having.
Carbs are not evil or bad, you just need to make good choices and stick to the whole grain, non enriched carbs. Sugar is much worse than carbs so you really have to watch the things like cookies more so than anything IMO. Protein is extremely important so get yourself focused back on that - make sure you are meeting your protein/water goal - if you feel overwhelmed work on protein frist then work on getting the water in. If you are busy with the protein/water then you will not be able to munch down so much!

Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

My advice would be to get rid of the girl scout cookies! Those little sugar-peddling-girls are evil! j/k...seriously though, the best defense is a good offense. So in a moment of stregth. like TODAY, go out to the grocery store and prepare for the inevitable moments of weakness that will come up later this week by stocking your pantry and fridge with healthier alternatives. Some of my favorite sweets-cravings-satisfyers are:
carb-control yougurt - comes in vanilla cream or strawberry - both taste really good with a spoonful of peanut butter and or some cool whip or whip cream - kind of lke a parfait....
SF pudding, or SF Pudding mixded in a protein shake -even better - kind of like a thick milkshake
and my new favorite - peanut-butter and SF rasberry jam on unflavored whole wheat crackers - just like PBJ without the sugar or the un-pouch-friendly bread...
Wow ur lucky! no dumping....damn! not too much makes me dump but when i push my limit is usually when that happens... anyhow....here ya go...best advice ull ever receive

Go buy a "snickers marathon protein bar-caramel nut rush". U seriously get the BEST of both worlds b/c this gets u 20g of protein and TASTE LIKE AN ACTUAL SNICKERS {to an extent} im having a major hard time with protein and all those shakes {im a very pickey eater} they have two flavors the caramel nut {which taste PHENOMENAL and i hate caramel normally} or they have chocolate sumthin or other...taste terrible.{dont like soft protein bars...an thats what that one is}
I actually buy these little *******s in bulk of a box of i think 12 for like $22. Not bad i must say! so that will atleast u with 20g
