1 month already!

I have to say I wish I wrote this about two days ago because I was in a much better mood, and I was feeling better.

The past two days I've been not interested in food and apparently, neither has my body as I just don't feel great.  But all that being said, I'm still doing fairly well with this thing!

I haven't lost any weight the past week and a half (I know its that typical stall--but I hate it), but I've still be successful losing 35 total pounds.  I'm really hoping to break this stall this week because I meet with my surgeon next Thursday and I want to be at 40 total, or more.  Any ideas on how to break it?  I've been getting in more water since my bout with dizziness--and yesterday was much better because of that, and my protein is higher than ever (~90g).  My carbs have even been low (between 20-30 most days).  I guess my body just needs that time to readjust.

Even though I've been stalled, more people have come up and said they see a difference, so, I know the inches are coming off.  Some clothes I haven't wore in a while because they were too tight and I wasn't really feeling comfortable in them, I am now wearing again.

Anyhow, I'm excited for tonight as I'm going with a friend to an info meeting at the hospital as she's trying to decide between the VSG and Lap Band.

Please know that without all of you, I probably wouldn't be where I am, so thanks for all the prayers and support!

You just need to be patient - there is no breaking stalls... they are a normal part of weightloss - just like you need a break, your body needs a break as well. Check your inches as well - many times when the scale stops the tape measure moves - you have to measure your 'success' by more then just a number on the scale you know?

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Extended TT, lipo, fat injections - 11/2011

BA/BL/Arm Lift - 7/2014

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

HALO laser on arms/neck 9/2016

Thigh Lift 10/2020

Thigh Lift revision 10/2021

The key to any stall is patience and hard work.  I hit a low back on Christmas Eve and then regained a little and seemed to plateau there for awhile.  I really thought my body was done losing weight.  But I was patient, kept working hard, doing my exercise, drinking my water, and the levies have broke for an 8 pound loss for me in the last 3 weeks.  1 1/2 years out, no less. You just gotta be patient and persistent with a stall. And congrats on your month, BTW.

Hey Ronda, Sorry you're not feeling well...the stall will break!!!!  I stall every month during my time of the month (or even GAIN weight)...but then it comes off after, so maybe that's what could be going on?!?!  I wouldn't worry about it!  I only lost like 2 pounds the past month but every time people see me they are like, "you've lost EVEN MORE!"  I think our bodies shift around and lose inches even when the numbers aren't going down.  I hope you get to feeling better and get back in a better mood!!!  Have a great time at the meeting, and don't stress, the weight WILL come off!!!!!!!!!!! Have a good day! Kim
