So I worked on a paper straight from 3pm YESTERDAY until 6am this morning.  Like no sleepy, just typey.  I think when I got done with it at 6 this morning that it was an excellent paper - though I found 2 typos AFTER I turned it in in at noon - so thankfully you get 1 typo for every other page before he starts taking off points and it was 19.5 pages before the 4 pages of footnotes.  Anyway, when I got home from classes at 4, I laid down with the intention of just taking a short nap - and I just woke up.  So there was not much eating today.... 4am - 1 slice thin crust cheese pizza 2 oz espresso - straight up, 3 oz peanuts 20 oz water 7pm - 1/2 a sf raspberry scone 20 oz sf ff vanilla latte w/ extra shot 11am - 1 hardshell chicken taco, 3 oz fruit salad (strawberries, watermelon, grapes, cantalope) 20 oz water 4pm - 3 cream cheese wanton Amy's big long nap...and I think I'm going back to sleep now that I'm awake...yes, life was much more complicated when I was sleeping. Keep eatin' good!

Wow, when does it all end? What will you do this summer? BTW - it is hot here now - 98 degrees today... Tommorow I will see Dr. Schlesinger, my new bariatric doc, for my one year follow-up (actually it has been 13 months, but whose counting)...Right after that appointment, in the same building, I will meet with Dr. Heffel, a plastic surgeon - he is finally set up with my insurance company! So, with any luck will get the ball rolling again. First he'll do his consult and prepare a submittal to the insurance, then I cross my fingers and wait....... Today was a so, so sort of typical maintenance day for me... breakfast - ham and cheese rollups lunch - mongolian bbq - (meat and veggies and rice noodles) snack - the leftover mongolian bbq dinner - one apple-chicken sausage with a side of some Polish inspired saurkraut, cabbage, onion, mustard, caraway seed concoction I came up with and cooked on the grill... snack - more ham and cheese roll ups

I felt like a bottomless pit today....I feel like I might be falling back into the emotional eating habit because today was kind of a bad day... :(  I did hit the pavement today and went for a jog outside...it was AMAZING...I'm going to start doing all my 5k training outside...running outside is so much more fun than on the treadmill...way better because the time just flew!!!   And the food.....

- 3 boneless buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing

- 3 oz soy crisps

- 4 oz margarita grilled chicken, 3 oz rice and black beans

- 1 cup berry granola frozen yogurt

- 2 hard shell taco bell tacos

- babybel cheese

- 2 leftover boneless buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing

- 3 oz beef enchiladas with cheese

- 3 oz refried beans

- 8 animal crackers - 2 red licorice  Work out---35 min. 5k training outside, 15 min stairmaster, 15 minutes weights for a total of 65 minutes! OH...and I also hid my scale...as I've been obsessing over weighing myself...so, I'm only weighing myself once a week and other than that the scale is no longer in my bathroom!

Amy you are amazing...you deserve a nap!! B- Protein Shake w/ 8 oz skim milk L- 3 square slices thin crust pepperoni and cheese pizza, fiber one bar D- 4 oz roasted chicken breast, less than 1/2 cup broccoli w/ cheese, less than 1/2 cup macaroni, 2 bites of cornbread s- 4 bites of cookie dough ice cream (too frickin sweet!!!) I know my eating is not great I am really trying to fix that along with getting back to basics...its hard though anyone else struggling with that? I am one year out and am able to eat whatever I want (still in drastically reduced amounts mind you) but I am still losing inches went down 2 sizes last month , I know what i need to do just can't seem to kick myself hard enough to do it...any words of encouragement would be fantastic!!

I have bites of stuff occasionally - last Friday I didn't post the eatin' good thread because I ran out of time - but I had 6 bites of Ben and Jerry's Peanut butter cup ice cream and if it didn't make me feel really icky I may have had more, but after 6 bites I was ready to ralph (and like you said - it is way too sweet) You're not the only one who screws up (and heck, yesterday I had pizza AND cream cheese wantons - yikes) - so don't get down on yourself because eating stuff that isn't the best for you is part of life.  Just focus on getting good stuff *most of the time* because it is a way of doing right by yourself.
