Eatin' Good Sunday (Amy's out so I said I would post this thread this week)
Happy Sunday all!!! Today my husband and I tiled our kitchen, it took 13 hours and I was so blessed that I had the energy to do it. Don't get me wrong there was a couple times I wanted to peter out on him...but I kept hanging in there. Now the tile has to set 24-48 hours before we can grout it...then we are done with phase one of our kitchen update :) YAH!!!!
Life is good today, I am sore, worn out, and doing wonderful....so for my intake
Breakfast-protein icecream (23)
Lunch-1/2 cup of vegtable soup (no protein that I am aware of)
Dinner-chicken rollups (12)
Snack- protein icecream (23)
Lots of water today (we were working hard!!!)
Vitamins taken
I can't wait to hear from all of you!!!
Well, now that I've actually had the surgery I am going to try to be better about posting what I eat.
Today was kind of a weird food day for me. I was hungry all day but had no inspiration to fix anything, except for this morning.
Breakfast-I had little silver dollar chocolate ricotta pancakes courtesy of Michelle (aka Eggface) with 3 slices of banana. I come to find out after I had cooked them that we were out of SF Syrup but I had bought some Splenda Brown Sugar at the store yesterday so mom showed me how to fix up my own concoction of syrup. They were yummy! (8)
Lunch-Leftover Rotisserie chicken heated up with some Weigh****chers Mexican cheese blend with some sour cream on top with about 1 tablespoon of baked beans (5)
Snack-Low Carb High Protein Slim Fast (20)
Not sure what I am having for dinner. Either another Slim Fast to get my protein in or some Unjury Chicken Noodle Soup
I've had 54 ounces of water so far today and plan on having at least 20 more ounces.
Vitamins: Check
Hope everyone is Eating Good out there!

I will chime in tonight...
breakfast: big cup of coffee with 3 splendas, 3 pumps of Starbuck's SF vanilla, syrup and about 1/2 cup of ff milk
lunch: lefotver grilled chicken fajita from last night in a whole-wheat Rotti with homemade salsa, light sour cream and shredded cheese - also a few tortilla chips
snack - a cup of chopped fruit
snack - a few pieces of smoked ham and havarti cheese
dinner - half of a falafel pita and a few pieces of gyro meat snagged from my wife's plate..
liquids - at least a gallon (I did four hours of yardwork in the 105 + heat around my house, I know I'm a freak)
BTW - Crystal light orange does taste pretty close to cheap OJ...I like it, I decided!

OH my 4 hours of yard work!!! You definitely need the water today!!! Today with our tile job the house got up to 87 degrees (because the doors were constantly open) and I was drinking more than I think I have post-op yet....I couldn't get enough****er!
Oh, and chicken fajitas sound great, we might need to work those into our menu this week or next!!!

Just be careful and you'll probably be fine, at two and a half months out I think I was just barely being released by nut to start eating full-solids and early on dense protein like chicken was my enemy! I know some people like Amy use thighs for chicken fajitas and thould should make them softer and easier to chew up into the right consistency to not get stuck in your pouch.
Me myself, I'm a breast man ;) So I have to make sure I marinade my meat well before I cook it stays moist. I found a great recipe that I modified a little bit for a homemade marinade that I will try to post on my blog today...

I was released to eat soft meats like canned tuna and chicken at two weeks out, and at 4 weeks out all food I could tolerate except raw salads, and two weeks ago I was told I could now have raw salads. I prefer chicken breasts, we typically either crock pot them or bake them in something so they can soak up the liquids in the recipe
My biggest things that I have to avoid (and I think we all are) is....sugar, flour products, and things fried.
I am excited to see a new recipe tonight....POST AWAY!!!
