FRUSTRATED!!!!!

IM SOOOOO FREAKIN FRUSTRATED!!!!! Sorry everyone, but I need to vent. So I call OHIP and they informed my that they had faxed my doctor to tell them of course they need more info. That was July7 and then sent them another fax july 23 about if nothing comes through then my OHIP request will be terminated!!!AHHHHHH Seriously come on...I just want to yell at my doc. He went on holidays last week, but he still could have contacted me on the 7th for the additional work that needs to be done. Man this makes me so upset! I'll wait for at least an hour and then call my doctors office this gives him enough time to look through his mail and then get on the ball to do this!!!!

i can't even imagine how you feel.. i know just waiting for my doctor to get it in was killing me. i hope that your doc gets on the ball.. keep us updated!

And the funny thing is my doctor for GBP Dr. Schram sent him a letter telling him that I dont need ANY pre testing ie...sleep tests etc. So basically the only thing that he needs to send out is blood work I think!!!I hoping that we can get all this cleared up TODAY!!!LOL.

Girl, I know your frustration! Its soo annoying. I had a horrible time with my PCPs office and with the surgeons office. Everyone is a bunch of idiots and if you dont stay on top of things they wont... Last month the lady that handles the insurance told my dad his insurance denied him and that they wanted him to do a 6 month supervised diet and he would need to appeal it. When we read the letter all it said was they needed more information that the surgeons office forgot to send and if he didnt do it in 45 days he would need to appeal... We were pissed! Now finally both of us are approved and just got our surgery dates. Just keep calling them and making sure they have everything under control and if that doesnt work, email them... Goodluck! I know how you feel... I had to vent a couple times too...

Is it your PCP or Dr. Schram that is behind on the paperwork?  I don't know anything about OHIP...  what additional info is needed?

Hey everyone........Thanks for letting me vent.!!! Its not dr. schram he is basically just waiting for me and my doctor and OHIP to gte everything together. OHIP is pretty good about everything, they jsut need more info on me and some tests I guess that need to be done. So basically it is my doctor that is behind adn now I find out he will be goign on holidays for 3 weeks so now its a scramble to get things going. Th earliest now to get in to see him is Aug 5 but the nurse has put me on a list so if someone cancels I get in. So heres hoping that I will be abel to provide him with everythign he needs to know and get APPROVED!!LOL

I cant remember what it is OHIP needs but I think something to make sure my heart is good, sleep tests(Which Dr. Schram sent the letter to tell my doctor I dont need) my height, weight etc.

Don't give up, get working!!  This is just another part of the approval process.  Freak outs, delays, rage, frustration, missing documents, repeat phone calls, nail biting and waiting waiting waiting are all part of the game.  That's what makes the Official Approval Phone Call so thrilling!!!

Get in writing exactly what OHIP needs from your doctor.  Get everything in writing.  You'll feel more in control, understand better what is missing/needed/expected of you, and you may be able to get your doctor to refer you to another doctor to complete your tests while he's on vacation.

I wont give up!! Dont worry, I just so needed to vent. I will try to get everyhting done or set up so I can do this and get completed. I will ask him about refering to another doc when he is gone, I didnt think of that. Thanks Heather!
