Protein sucks!!
I'm not sure what else I can try. I simply cannot get the protein shakes down and I've gotten some protein powder and it's the same thing. A very dear friend of mine was so kind to give me some protein soups and I can't even stomach those. My instructions say to stay away from the Boost and Ensure kind of stuff... but what about the ones made for diabetics? It's sugar free and would be better than getting no protein at all. I'm not hungry at all, but I know I still need to nurish my body.
I use EAS Chocolate Protein powder (you can find it anywhere), I also use low carb chocolate slimfasts because they are easy and 20 grams of protein. Protein is something we have to find a way to get in. Have you tried mixing some of the protein into pudding? I use one scoop of EAS with half a cup of skim milk--it really isn't that much and it has 27 grams of protein.
Protein is vital!!! Just a little longer and you will be moved to try more foods (but even then I could only eat small quantities so protein shakes were a staple to hit my minimum protein levels). Keep trying things until you find something you like.

Are you mixing your protein with milk by any chance? I was doing that and not getting enough protein and it turns out the nausea that I was feeling was due to lactose intolerance that had just developed post op. If that's not the case, then you might want to try protein bullets from the Vitamin Shoppe or GNC. Hope that helps
They have protein bullets? I'll need to look around for those!
I've put a scoop in some pudding but it tasted really bad and it was really thick. It also made me feel a little queasy. I tried it again with only half a scoop, and it was a little better... but I'm still barely getting enough protein in. I have the EAS protein shakes and it's not that the I can taste the protein in it, but I find them FAR TOO sweet. They are also really liquidy, which doesn't make for a good mixture when it comes to being too sweet.
My sugeon only wants us on the protein shakes for 2 weeks post-op, but I'll probably always try to up my protein one way or another.

i'm not sure if you have heard of unjury. It is a really good protein. I am post op right now, and i have tried all kinds of proteins, shakes, bullets you name it... Unjury is the only one so far i can handle. you get go on their website unjury.com and order a sample pouch for cheap, and see if those help. I also have given up Cow's milk. I drink the very vanilla silk milk, i have for the last 5 years, I think it mixes well with unjury..
I hope this helps..
