INSURANCE HELP NEEDED

I work at a hospital that performs the wls/ lap band. We have our own healthcare insurance program with all hospital employee's but we use Coventry guidelines. Coventry will not cover wls but our plan will if you meet the guidelines in our plan. But how can i get around being approval my Coventry( when there guidelines will not cover wls) but out hospital plan does. Any insurance help from anyone????????????????
