I am working on two novels, a poetry book, and a Bonanza Fan Fic and really trying to decide whether or not to have lap bands. I origanaly wanted RNY LAP, but chickened out am doing Weigh****chers again. I dont know what to do. There are only three doctors in my area the do lap bands. Well anyways . Michelle P.S. I know what is like to be the right weight as well as what it is like to be obese. I am so tired of lugging this extra 110 pounds around. I am constantly praying to God to Give the answers I need. I would like to be able to double it

Sure would like to know the trick to have someone listen to them!!! I have one absolutely made for Alan Jackson, another for Tanya Tucker....just have to track them down

My chapbook (short book of aboout 30-40 pages) of poetry called "The Fearless Tattoo" won Shadow Poetry's 1st Biannual Poetry Chapbook Competition. The first section of the book, "Blooming Gladiolas," is about health/medical issues while the second half, "Revisit" is about memories from childhood to adulthood. For more info on the book or to consider purchasing one go to www.shadowpoetry.com/bookstore/fearlesstattoo.html. To view some of my recently published photos, go to www.geocities.com/bethanncagleburt/poetry_and_photos1.html. If I'm lucky, I'll get some poems up on the web soon. Hope you enjoy these sites. Peace to you all.

Who says being a writer is silly?? We're being CREATIVE. ^_^ You may not know it, but you're doing what we ALL do - we collect things that interest us, that inspires our creative juices, that says 'There's a story in there - now I gotta unlock it'. My husband and I are the same way with talking - late at night we start firing off words, jokes, or phrases and one of us says 'That's a so-and-so line.' or 'I gotta remember that for a story.' When you're a writer married to another writer, it's either heaven or hell, and I'm very lucky it's been heaven. The supernatural thriller I'm working on (turning from a novel into a trilogy!) is nothing but a huge collection of these thoughts, lines, words, and incidents that I've collected through the years (I'm 25, wrote my first novel at 17 in math class). So, no, you're not being silly, you're being normal for us! *hug* If you need any advice, help, reading board, or something to shoot off ideas with, email me. ^_^

Writing about relatives and people you know can be hard, especially when you realize you almost have to crawl into their head or their personality to be able to do them justice and paint with compassion. I was given an opportunity to write a biography for a friend who was dying of brain cancer. As I sat and listened to his exotic/incredible/unbelievable life, I realized I was not ready to take on something of that magnitude. I would not be able to write his life without claiming the supernatural was involved (especially his early years of living in Ireland) and it would degenerate into fiction (the world would not be ready for him, either). Still, computers have nothing to do with the Higher Power's will or anything - they're machines, Garbage In Garbage Out. I've lost plenty of stories due to my ancient computer that I have to give a blood sacrifice to to insure semi-competant reliance. ^_^ Anyway, a 'creative-fiction' (I swear, that is what the writing colleges are calling it) does require more heart and soul involvement, especially if it is based on someone that was very close to you. Always remember when you do start again to celebrate her life, for that is what makes a tribute a thing of beauty. I hope this has helped you in some way, Derith. Good luck, much love, and many prayers for a fellow writer.

that sounds like a very great idea but if your computer crashed i think that was to tell you to go ahead and let people in on your book which sounds amazing and you gave me a good idea ( my real dad had past when i was 16 and when i was still in high school _ i was trying out for cheerleading but didn't make the team my heart wasn't in it_ he had died of a pancreatic and diabetic coma followed by his kidknees ( however it's spelled) then his heart and i never got over it but whatever happens the out come should still be good (my thought is if it's on paper then your feelings are still intact. good luck

Topic: My Novel
I started writting a book in 1995, about a lady who was mentally ill. I started writting as a grieving tool after my aunt, who helped raise me, died. It was the only way I could see to cope with her death and situation surrounding her death. The book is based on my aunt. Everything I write it if mostly from how I feel things happened to my aunt. No one knows really what is true or not because there are times in my aunt's life that no one know what happened to her and during that time something dramatic happened because it drove her to mental illness. I hope one day to get it published, but in my heart it is not ready even after all of these years. I guess I am still coping with her death. When I am ready to share it with the world I will know. I have had it ready to send to a publisher and my computer crashed losing that version of my novel. I look at the loss as a sign that it was not time. What was lost was not hard to get back. When the time is right it will happen. Praying for help, Derith
