Hi T. Byrd

I am sorry it took me forever to respond.

In the very beginning it is pretty hard to get used to. But I promise that it will get better.  i hope you are really trying to get your protein in as much as you can.  In the beginning it is hard to meet the requirement but all you can do is work to meeting your goal.  Water got me feeling very nauseous at first but one thing that helped me was getting the flavored powders that are sugar free from walmart. They are like Crystal lite but have no calories. The flavor that worked best for me at first was apple it was good and I got hooked on it quickly. It helped me get my water intake up little by little.

Tell me how did your visit go at the dr? What did he or she say?

I have 6 children three of which are adults 23, 21 & 20 and they have given me grandbabies already.  I also have another grandbaby on the way due January 2009. Then I have my three youngest 6 1/2 daughter , 3 1/2 son and this precious surprise baby that I conceived just three months out from having my gastric bypass. She is such a blessing and keeps going. I love her to pieces and yes I look at her and my eyes well up with happiness.

Your baby is a big baby! Wow 6' tall is he going to be a basketball player?  I can't imagine how big he will be when he is done growing.

Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. I hope you are feelign better.
Hugs,

Topic: Hi Everyone
I'm new here and hoping I'm posting in the right place.  I am in the middle of the nutrition phase right now.  Dr Shin iin Charleston is my surgeon.   I'd really like to hear from other patients of his.  I'm a 46 yr old female who wants to live to have grand babies.

The jello is a good idea, but I could not drink the canned Broths. I drained Chicken Noodle Soup instead.

I am going to WV State University for Accounting.

I have been back to practically normal since Sunday. No bending or lifting. I hate cream soups, always have. I find it easier to eat pudding and Cream of Wheat. I also have mushed up baked beans and added milk to thin it, and Tomato soup. They are not on any list, but I have to eat something. I also like French onion without the cheese and bread. I guess till Friday that's it.

Keep researching,and Good Luck. Crystal

Crystal,
I'm watching your progress closely, my date is Oct. 9th.  I'm loading up on Jello and broth :(  I have an endo on Fri.  I'm back in school, also, but I'm kissing 50 yrs old!!  I started back part time in 4/2005 at WVU-P and have taken a few courses each semester.  What is your major??  Mine is retirement--Hee-Hee.

Take it easy and sip, sip, sip.

Hello Crystal...
     sorry  I havent been here
how is things going today?   How long did they say to stay on the full liquids?   are you trying the cream soups? strained they are more heavy duty than just jello and so forth..... also  put a little of the non flavored protein in it  that will make it last longer....
how did school go last night?
Ok I am gone   I will try to be here more     I am getting things ready for a trip next month  if things goes right...   we will be leaving here the 25 th and return after Christmas   going to see Dusty pages and her family  we will be there to help with the kids while she is having her surgery....
  Prayers willa
