Back On Track Together
I ate ALL day !!
Do you ever have days that you seem to eat anything and everything and just totally get off track ? Yesterday was one of those days for me ! I had the "munchies" all day. I started the day thinking....low carb day, low carb day.....chanting to myself and before I know it, my hubby offers to fix me some oatmeal......and I ate it ! Carb craving kicks in and before the day ended I had eaten 169 total carbs !! Only 49 grams of protein and 1500 calories, but I felt like I "pigged out" all day......really not as bad as I thought.
I got up this morning regretting yesterday, but today is a brand new day......it is 11:00 am and I have had a protein rich breakfast of eggs and cheese (no carbs) and coffee. The weather is icy fog and everything is covered with a layer ice. It is actually quite pretty outside. I am cooking chili in the slow cooker, a small turkey in the oven, and have several fresh veggies roasting....getting ready for the week !

We all have those days. I find the weekend to be especially hard. I made the mistake of buy Ritz 100% WW chip crackers yesterday. I have had 6 today which is 9 carbs. So this leaves me no wiggle room for the rest of the day :) . What good about yesterday, is that you reconize that is wasn't so good, and you have a instituted a come back plan. By the wy the chili sounds so good. Have a great rest of the day. I notice everyone is so good about posting week days, but not on weekends when we are most likely to vere off track.

And just imagine, I work in a bakery on the weekends, and I have to really be on point with the nibbling here and there!!! it is hard, and today, I did not do so well, but next wk. I will challenge my self to do better for wt. loss sake!
If I eat carbs - I crave them because my body gets into high blood sugar - low blood sugar. I CAN'T start my day with carbs, if I do- I would eat all day very carby food. I call that "chasing a tail of carbs devil". I also can't do carby foods as my last meal. If I do that - I eathir wake up with low BS in a middle of the night or in the best case - wake up hungry in the morning. Really hungry.
I can eat some carbs in late afterrnoon- early evening, when I know my BS is dropping anyway and I know I will have dinner in 2-3 hrs anyway.
