Thanks Cassie,
I'm going to have to modify this a bit for me. The pork and beans contain molases which will make me dump and also the brown sugar will also get me sick. I'll tweek this a bit to make it work for me. Thanks for posting it, I can't wait to try it.

CALICO BEANS IN A CROCK POT | |
1 lb. ground beef, browned 1/2 to 3/4 c. bacon, cut, fried and drained 1 c. chopped onion 2 (31 oz.) cans pork and beans 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans (drained) 1 c. catsup 1/4 c. brown sugar 3 tbsp. white vinegar 1 (16 oz.) can buttered lima beans (drained) 1 tsp. salt Dash of pepper Mix together and cook at low setting for 4-6 hours |
i dont drain the lima beans dry just a lil bit and put the rest of the juice in, this comes out to be kinda like a very thick stew.. this last time i added ketchup, but then added some tomatoe sauce to make it a lil wetter, i would guess you can replace the ketchup with tomatoe sauce... it makes a full corck pot, but i put it in freezer bags and threw it in the freezer... its yummmyyy... enjoy

Just want to remind everyone that our regular monthly meeting is on Saturday. March 27th.
I do intend to meet before the meeting for a walk at the Quinnipac Track at 9:30 However, if it is raining I will not be walking.
Dan has some helpful handouts ready for us and we hope to formulate a plan for the spring and summer activities.
If you need directions, please go to the Links section. Look for Water's edge Rehab Center
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
