Online support for patients who have had weight loss surgery

Safe haven intended for people with WLS scheduled Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec of 2011.  Anyone is welcome, I just want a place where we can laugh or cry, vent or celebrate with other people on a similar path. Feeling great? Feeling a little crazy? Need to share? BRING IT ON!

This is a support group for people who are having WLS, who have had WLS or for those who are considering it.  It is designed for people who live in the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand area.

This group was created because there wasn't a local group. I am a bariatric patient, surgery scheduled. I would love to have an online forum to discuss topics with others in the area.  Would love to see some of the Midwest Bariatric staff join as well.

I am hoping to find people to make friends with. Get together for activities, hiking, biking, snowboarding things of that nature. Getting together and sharing advice about food, and excersice tips.

 

"The Lighter Side" was developed in November of 2009.  We started with 3 members and currently have nearly 20 members.  We meet physically the first Thursday of each month.  Beginning Fall of 2011, we will be meeting two times each month.
