Greetigs all
Sunny and warm today. I did my walking first at the gym and then went to the studio. Did some glazing and learned all the gossip. After that I hit the grocery store for steak and such. Bad timing- the middle schools kids were teeming in the store. A veritable mountain of back packs at the entrance.
So DH got his new bank account and is busying himself with the details of auto payments. He is a very detailed oriented person which i am not. Ho hum
Liz sorry the show was canceled. Safe travels to all your family.
CC glad your friend is coming around. Bet she feels foolish. A restaurant is a fairly drama free zone. And glad that your furniture and covers are good. And at least Kirby barfed outside and during daylight. I think DH has learned his lesson on feeding Tesla pizza. The farts last night were unspeakable.
Happy Tacos Paula.
Steak tonight here. Good reminder that it is all protein.
We watched some episodes of Hacks last night. Pretty good.

Dog farts can be pretty bad when they eat stuff the shouldn't. And no embarrassment from the dogs! Though I have seen my dogs look at their butts in surprise when they happen LOL.

I had written a post on my school laptop during my lunch but got side tracked with spring concert stuff, etc... and forgot to submit. I'm too comfy at the moment to get my laptop out of my school bag and fire it up. So I shall do my best to recreate...
The scale gods giveth and taketh away! 205.0 this morning.... dagnabit
The fine print in my pre op instruction mentions GLP-1 meds! Says that if one takes it, you should not take it for a week prior to the surgery. Thank goodness I take it on Thursdays... Though I don't see what influence it would have taking a mild sedative prior to surgery. It's not like they knock you out or even do twighlight anesthesia. I was fully aware for my first cataract surgery, but nice and relaxed. It also mentions not eating any solid food the day prior to the surgery. Oops... However, none of that was discussed in my pre surgery phone call with the surgeon or the scheduling nurse. I'm not concerned, but you'd think if it's important enough to mention in the written directions, they'd mention it in the pre op phone appt.
I am now on work out restriction until next Thursday. BOOOOOO!!!! I believe my working out is a "bit of a cross addiction". I'm good with that. It beats possible other addictions (like my clothes buying post VSG). Next week my goal is an hour on the treadmill each day. I figure I can do a gentle uphill 3 mile walk at 3 mph. Shouldn't get me huffing and puffing, but it will be something!
Liz, BOOOOOOO on cancelled show. No fun at all. I'm sorry your DSD didn't get to see her friend's work!
My brother got our Anne Frank House museum tickets today! I'm excited to go. I'm sure it will be sobering, but I would not want to miss it. The tickets are time specific, too. We must enter between 6:00 and 6:15 pm.
19 flipping days of work remain....
I think the theory is that because GLP-1s slow down digestion and so does anesthesia that it would be a double whammy. Probably a better safe than sorry?
Wouldn't the food restriction be just for the day of the eye surgery (after midnight)? That's the usual restriction for even full anesthesia I think. So there is nothing in your stomach.

Only liquids the entire day before sounds like colonoscopy prep!

Huh? No food day before sounds weird. They told me I could eat on the morning of surgery - no restrictions - and I did. Oh well, it is all different. Your surgeon maybe had someone barf once. They offered me valium so I was calm. By the time you "see" this, I bet you are all done and safe and sound. DS
