119 - shot day. My 1 mg of tirzepatide twice a week works perfectly for me to keep my cravings away. DH says medication is not for him - it's the "easy" way but when that bothers me he says it isn't a criticism of me but just how he needs to do it. Weird and maybe true, maybe not (the criticism part). Regardless he is down over 20 pounds now and about at the weight when I met him. He wants to lose a bit more. I'm guessing his height is similar to Peps and though his weight is about 10 pounds less he does not look as fit as Peps. His arms and legs are muscular because he focuses on them at the gym but he doesn't do any core work. He has had some sciatica issues so he really ought to add core which he agrees with but it has never been in his routine. For most of his life he has lifted weights for his arms and done the elliptical for his legs and cardio and that's it. DH and I were discussing his workout routine this morning and he says he is waiting to add core work for when he is thinner.
Today is a mostly unstructured day so unlike DD I can wear whatever LOL. Justice/Moby walk, probably the beach, something for dinner (unplanned so far), then Moby gets picked up for his ride home. His parents are missing him like crazy but he is really settling in here a bit. Dogs are so adaptable especially if you treat them well. But I am sure he will be overjoyed to see his family! If Moby leaves early enough we may go to a pickleball competition here between local pros. Our pro just won the bronze metal in the Pickleball US Open.
Have a thirsty Thursday!

I had lunch with my neighbor yesterday. It was fine and we parted on good terms, but I feel vaguely gaslit and like she still doesn't get that she was in the wrong. Lots of comments suggesting I overreacted (I did not) and flat out denial of saying she called me vindictive. She said she called the HOA vindictive. I clarified "you said "you and the board..." she laughed it off saying I should read too much into her texts. Hence the gaslighting feeling. So the relationship will be neighborly civil, but I am not interested in being close friends with her.
I did something crazy and put my name on the list for a puppy with Kirby's breeder. Boy or girl doesn't matter much to me, but the boy waitlist is out to late 2025/early 2026. A girl would potentially be late summer. So I said a girl would be fine. It's not fun going through peak babyhood at Christmas/in the snow. So we'll see... he really does need a friend.
Not much else going on here. Hope you all are well.
I think you have handled this "friend" issue just right. Due to living in the same community, you will be much more comfortable that you can be cordial when your paths cross, but you also know who she truly is now, and can also keep a cordial distance. She is a perfect example of the quote, If you have an enemy, do nothing. Wait by the river and their body will float by. I've seen it time and time again, I don't need to set things straight, defend myself, gossip. These types always do themselves in after awhile, and, well, float by.
And yeah for a Kirby little sister! A 2 dog family. :)
Oh wow! Another pup! Probably will be very different in personality from Kirby.
The woman still reminds me of my former friend with a borderline personality. She was NEVER in the wrong. Definitely best to just be civil from now on.

20 lbs. for DH Liz! That is awesome! Using GLP 1s is definitely not the easy way though! Just another tool for those whose brains don?t give us the correct messages!
123.9. Back up a bit! Got in just over 1400 calories yesterday!
DH worked his last day today! Yay! We are celebrating with su****onight and tomorrow head to Door County!
Enjoy your celebration! Door County sounds like a wonderful place to visit.

Greetings all
What started as a very foggy day has turned warm and sunny. DH continued on his password mission. Then we watched the white smoke and new pope. Lots of interesting discussion on that.
So I left the house and did my walking. It is likely getting to a point that I need to make it harder or longer or both. We shall see. My scrabble friend and I always bemoan our old lady aches and pains. She goes to Pilates and we compare notes. That is likely what I should do but I hate classes and scheduling. Oh well.
Liz some people thing WLS is the easy way. We all know otherwise. Meds are not the easy way either. Methinks your DH does not know what it is like to have the lifelong weight struggle. But good on him if WW works. Safe travels to Moby.
After gym I went to the studio and made some things. Stuff dries much faster in the sun and people put pots out on their car hoods for faster drying. Some have not yet learned that fast drying equals cracks. Oh well.
CC glad you talked with your friend but you are right that she will not be your bestie. She was unable to admit her overreaction and error. Oh well. And whoo hoo on new puppy. I like having two dogs - three was a crowd - and the older one pretty much housebroken the pup. Fun.
Paula enjoy the weekend trip even if it is sort of work for you.
My hair seems thinner in my old age. I always had super thick hair so it is not concerning but feeling sort of "light headed"! Another indignity that arrives with the passage of time.
Time for popcorn.
