117.6 - unchanged even though I was snacky yesterday. I find that if I snack on okay stuff like cottage cheese and nut thins that it doesn't seem to affect my weight probably because I fill up relatively quickly. Maybe I get snacky now when my body actually needs more? Still not used to relying on my hunger cues.
Hoping for a quick update from Paula today?
Not much accomplished yesterday other than laying out clothing for the funeral, our trip to Bar Harbor, and for Florida. I was planning on going through the remainder for possible donation but there really isn't that much and I'm not sure I am willing to give any of it up yet. I know there is some rule that if you haven't worn something over some period of time it should go, but I feel that one year is too short. I did get rid of tons of stuff last year when I sold the house. In fact, there was at least one other dress and some skirts that I am surprised I got rid of. If I still haven't worn them by this time next year maybe I will get rid of them.
Today some packing might commence plus I need to try on the funeral dresses. I'm not sure they will fit. This evening we are meeting my SIL and BIL (here from Scottsdale) for dinner. I had the free protein shakes sent to SIL as she needs to gain weight.
But first, a Justice walk! Have a therapeutic Thursday!

I have a funny story about nutritional drinks. I had a patient (years ago) that was drinking slim fast drinks to help her lose weight. She couldn't understand why she wasn't losing weight. After taking with her for a bit, she stated that she was drinking them between her normal meals, like there was something magic about drinks that melted fat away. I had to explain to her that the shakes are intended to be use as a replacement not an addition to her meals!
No weight, I have post-op fluid retention and lots of binders, Ace wraps and compression garments that I'm wearing.
Pain is well controlled. I didn't have muscle tightening in my abdomen, so that makes healing and my less painful. My surgeon also did a drainless tummy tuck so I don't have to deal with those drains!
Ill post pics on TT after I remove my bandsges
LOL on the Slimfast. I think some people think that is the case with glp-1 drugs too when you read what some of them say.
Weighing definitely a no no while recovering from surgery IMHO.
Sounds like you are doing pretty well! Good to hear!

Greetings all
Overcast here. I made myself go to the gym and walk since I had been awol for a few days. Always good. Spent half the day trying to do business stuff for the gallery. Trying to call the state tax dept - wait time on hold was reported to be three hours. No thanks. And no response or call back from the insurance people. How do these people stay in business?
So we had this ready-to-eat sliced sirloin steak from costco last night. Pretty good though it was seasoned a little heavily. Like a lot of salt and garlic. More for tonight but I think I will make a little pasta with it to sort of dilute it. DH has requested some hamburger macaroni dish so this is it. His birthday is Saturday and not sure what we will do. Maybe get a small cake and see a movie. He has shown no signs of wanting to play with the Ninja Creami so that is not good. I think he wants the ice cream but wants me to make it.
Paula glad to hear you are doing well and have no drains. Heal fast. Glad there is no drain. Many years ago my brother had tummy tuck but had a drain. Good thing to skip.
Yeah Liz it is hard to know when to discard clothes. I just got rid of some pretty nice stuff that is a bit snug and I doubt I would wear anyway even if it fit. But where we live a clean hoodie is formal wear.
This morning I ate these sou vide egg bites from Costco. Pretty good but pricy. Also salty. I guess all the premade stuff is heavy on the salt.
Yeah funny how someone thought drinking slim fast was in addition to meals. Some people are completely clueless on food and nutrition. And I bet that most of you knew how many calories were in things as kids. I sure did.

I find a lot of things too salty these days. I wonder if there is more in premade food than there used to be or I am more sensitive to it because I try not to use much salt when I cook or on my food?
Maybe if you make 1 thing with the Ninja and DH sees how easy it is then he will take over? Or will you have set a dangerous precedent???

I read it to my DH who loved it because he would like it to be that way!

202.something today.
EARLY Dog show day today. Out of the house by 5:45 am. I was done with groups by 2:30 and was home before 4:00! Had time to rest, wash the dog, go shopping, visit dad and get dinner.
My dad was clearly on a "date" when I arrived. It was absolutely charming. He and a female inmate were sitting on a couch adjacent the aviary. They were giggling like 6 year olds. I sat down with them and gave my dad the Trader Joe's Peanut Butter cups he loves so much. He asked me to open one of the packages. He took them and offered a chocolate to the lady. The lady grabbed her boobs, jiggled them and laughed before she took a chocolate. My dad was rapt! A few minutes later after a bit of small talk I suggested that perhaps I would leave him to his company to which he happily replied, "Yes, that would be good! You should go now." I left grinning ear to ear. The attendant and I had a good chuckle on the way to the exit where she punched in the code to let me make my escape.
More dog showing tomorrow.
Boob jiggling! That made me chuckle. Your Dad has a new friend to share his candies with!
I didn't realize there were so many dog shows. Is that year round or seasonal?
