DB is probably correct, but it doesn't always help to be able to see that. Congestive heart failure is serious (as you know). My mother passed away from it ultimately. I was lucky that she had all her faculties and would accept care with grace.

203.4 today.

A bit of a full day today. A grooming at 11, 5 pm training session, and then we have dinner plans with BFF and Aunty Kathryn. In between I want to go see my dad and get some trimming done on Buster and Grizz. I'll probably work on Buster today. Grizz can hold off until tomorrow.

Was nice to awaken at 7 am to daylight! Not that I got up until 8, but it was still nice to open my eyes to morning light instead of the dim pre sunrise light we had at 7 am last week.

Two more weeks until Disneyland! I know, 61 years old and still gets so excited to go to Disneyland! LOL!!! But I'm going during the school week and I get to go when it's not blazing hot in the summertime and best of all, Disneyland will be decorated for Christmas! Another bucket list item will be checked off! Disneyland during the Christmas season!

Puppy Grizz is draped across my left arm and fast asleep. He melts me. It's fun having a little lap dog, but one that still has the big dog mentality of a terrier. He is athletic and fearless in so many ways. He's a scrappy little thing!

That's it for me today!

We went to Disney World the 1st week of December when our DD was turning 18. We love Disney, both land and world, and have been many times, but the Christmas Decorations made it one of our favorite trips.

If I ever make it to France, I would like to check out Euro Disney.

I am thinking of doing the Harry Potter stuff at Universal with DS when he comes in January. I have only been once when it first opened and didn't see a lot because that was the day we lost deceased DH and had to search all over the park for him. Both DS and I loved the Harry Potter books (and he loves all the movies though I like the earlier ones best).

Greetings all

I woke up early (for me) on this cloudy day with an extra morning hour. Waiting for my hair to air dry before I go out and about. I got a partial gym visit in yesterday and will skip today. A little is better than nothing (she rationalized).

Well good on you Liz for improving at golf. I take it you enjoy it. Odd how some people divide the girls and boys and others do not. Used to be the two women sat in the back seat on a Sunday drive. Quaint. When I was in college I took gold and we mostly sat in a classroom and studied rules. Match vs Medal play. No actual golf beyond whiffle balls into a net in the basement. Enjoy.

CC congrats on choosing a health plan. Yeah it is brutal. 10 years ago DH and I paid 1700 a month for the two of us with a high deductible. There used to be a major medical thing that covered only very high amounts. Wonder if that still exists. Many years ago the Blue Cross companies were not for profit and put all funds into benefits but deregulation occurred and someone decided that was unfair to for profit insurers to have to compete with non profits. Somehow I think the non profit model is a better one for the unique situation of health care coverage. Profit motive should be left out of an essential service which is non competitive. Oh well, step down from soap box.

DD enjoy a peaceful day. I hope your mom can be persuaded to stay in hospital a bit longer. Wishing ain't getting. Does she respond better to suggestions from your brother or you or just blanket hell no.

Yep Peps small terriers are wonderful but you know that from your cairns. Nice little armful. Mine like to sit on the back of the couch and loom over me like gargoyles.

Paula bet you can't wait!!

Disneyland Peps. Ordinarily I would regard Disneyland like the Bataan death march but a fall day with Christmas stuff and low kid turnout sounds fun. Go for it.

Have to pick up new kiln stuff and go to gallery. Do banking. I got very short notice that I need to bring an art piece plus a statement to the studio for staff show. Gee thanks. I will make a suitably smart aleck statement.

Is the type of insurance you're thinking about called Catastrophic Insurance? You can still buy it in Minnesota, but I think it's been limited in some ways by the ACA rules.

Could be. Also might have been Major Medical but these days all medical is major. No cheap trips to the ER. ds

Do I like golf? Hmm, good question. I like being outside on a beautiful day with good people and I like driving the cart around. I like when I can hit the ball and it somewhat goes where I want, but don't like the pressure of trying to improve my handicap. I might enjoy it more if I didn't keep score LOL.

123.5, up again! Grrrrr! Might have to up my dose! Snacking abounds!

I hate how dark it is so early. Not sure why we have to do daylight savings time! Makes me just want to go to bed and stay there!

I've been window shopping online for all the things I want to buy for new house! The delivery trucks are going to be busy once we get there!

Hair cut today. Last one with my hairdresser. I hate to think of finding all new providers from hair to physicians and vets and groomers! I've been trying to make an appointment with an electrophysiologist (doctor that specializes in heart rhythms and will manage my defibrillator) but getting into see one is like getting into Fort Knox. They are refusing to make an appointment for me until they review my referral which was sent October 21. They are already booking out to sometime in 2026 and I will need a download of my defibrillator read in December and need to be set up with a local device clinic to where the downloads are sent. In a pinch I can have my guy here read the download but if there is an issue, he can't help me out from WI while I'm in FL! Grrrr again!

The weather here is cold! Yuck!

The new providers thing does sound daunting! I really like my oncologist, PCP, weight loss surgery clinic, and my dentist. And of course my niece who is my hair stylist. The eltectrophysiologist seems super important. Hopefully they reserve/ hold back some appointments for onboarding new patients so that you could get seen shortly after they review your records.
