Lazy day yesterday sort of. I sat by the pool for a couple of hours after yoga and lunch. Lots of sunscreen on my face and a big hat for shading it. Last night we went to Happy Hour and then split a salad and burger at a restaurant nearby afterwards.
The other day I tried out some pre-cured gel strips on my fingernails. I hate going to nail salons. Seems like too much time sitting around and too much money. I will spend it on my hair and face, but not my nails. Anyway they look pretty good and we shall see how they hold up. It's been 2 days and they still look good (see picture below). They were easy to apply and are supposed to come off easily after soaking in ho****er. And there were enough strips in the package to do it 4 times so basically $2.50 cost per use. They say they will stay looking good for 2 weeks.
Today is a Justice walk, yoga, Beach Club, then leftovers for dinner. It's going to be a beautiful day in Florida! The weather people say this weather may hold for up to another 2 weeks which would be perfect for Thanksgiving week when DH's family is here.
Have a stupendous Saturday!

202.8 up a smidge, but negligible in reality. Good session with NUT yesterday.
For the record, IMO opinion the only pizza worth having is slathered in meat! I do not do veggie pizza. YUCK! ![]()
I know it's a new commandment to NOT speak about workouts and gains because apparently no one wants to hear it... I read a meme about this yesterday.... LOL, but... I'm proud of how the gym has become a habit for me like Liz's Justice Walks. Ron refers to the gym as my happy place. I think that's a hoot. I workout 5 days a week unless I'm dog showing.
Disneyland snafu - RAIN! I am on the hunt for wide width waterproof walking shoes. I can't find any online that will arrive in time, so I have to hit the sporting good stores today. That was not in my plans. UGH...
Not much else. Must get on my broom stick. I have a client coming in about 20 minutes.
Liz, fun nail decorations!
Paula, VRBO landlord is not going to get a good rating!!!! Leave a detailed account of his less than hospitable management style. Your ask was reasonable.
Wishing everyone a sunny Saturday! (Diane S and I will not be having one apparently!)
DH has a gym habit too, but doesn't work his body as extensively as you. He spends most of his time on the elliptical, then some on lifting weights. He needs to add core work but can't seem to work that into his habit.
Good luck on getting the shoes. We went to Disney World once when it rained torrentially the entire time we were there. Huge, deep puddles. We all had flip flops on which turned out to be the best shoe because people in sneakers were squishing water all over the place.

Fun evening at the pottery festival. Wow, some really talented artists! Liz, it was at DA Ranch again. Funny moment, I was talking to a man I know and suddenly had a hot flash where I had to get out of my sweatshirt IMMEDIATELY before I spontaneously combusted - no small feat with a frozen right shoulder. So I started to wriggle out while sweat is breaking out on my face, my friend Cathy is pulling down my shirt so I don't flash everyone, which was sweet, but also making it harder to get out of my sweatshirt. Suddenly, Ed looks around frantically and mutters, I need to go talk to (mumble) and runs away. It made me laugh! I told his wife later that I was sorry to make him uncomfortable, but I had to get free of the extra layer. She thought it was hilarious. i ended up buying a few things, none of which I needed.
Today I walked Kirby early as I have a facial scheduled this afternoon. I need to stop spending money like this! Life is short, but it wouldn't hurt me to rein it in bit.
I need to pack up a present to send to a friend today at the post office, so probably should go get on that.
Take care all!
Hot flashes like that are the worst! I started them sometime in my mid-forties and still have them though they have trailer off in severely and frequency. But at their height when I was 47 they seemed close to constant and were almost unbearable. I actually get slightly sick to my stomach just before I start to get hot. I have only heard that from one other woman. I never took hormones because at the time they were thought to be dangerous for your heart. Not true today and my hot flashes might have been less if I took them but also my bones would probably be stronger now.

Greetngs all
Big sun today. Not sure where the rain went. It will likely return (or is on the way to Disneyland to torture Peps).
The veggie pizza was great! More tonight. My opinion on pizza meat is that it sucks. Pepperoni is too peppery and so salty and processed you don't know what it is. Ditto other pizza meat - little brown pellets of who knows what. Ham is ok because it is identifiable. But mushroom, olives, artichoke hearts, bell pepper, onion and all that stuff is the best. In my former life when I used to cook I used to make Pacific pizza which had no tomato - a cream cheese topping with smoked salmon and chives.
Those nails are lovely Liz. Really look nice. Some nail decorations are way too punk for me. Yours are elegant.
Gym and football are the only plans today. Skipped gym yesterday due to the purse dumping deer avoiding extra trip incident. There are a lot of deer in our town - this one ran across the main drag- and I have seen them on our street. I hit one about 10 years ago and orphaned a fawn. That deer must have had its head on the road edge as I never saw it and no car damage. I guess they come into town just to eat people's gardens. There is plenty of wild land here.
DD sounds like you are making "good trouble" at your Mom's. But lord, you gotta find that tv password. Years ago I wanted to clean out your mom's bathroom cupboard and she would only permit it if she sat there and approved everything I threw out. That cupboard had an entire trashcan full of expired cold pills, hemorrhoid cream, vitamins and cough syrup. I had to read every expiration date out loud to convince her it should be tossed. So I feel your pain. Have you started the refrigerator yet?
Crud CC a hot flash. Sorry for that. I managed to escape that. Gonna get some meds? Glad you found some stuff.
Paula one more day to get into your house? we can't wait.
Deer meat on a pizza anyone?
Well, that treadmill won't walk itself.
