I'm like you when I move. I am driven to get everything unpacked and find a home for it as quickly as possible.
That broccoli supreme does sound yummy! No turkey for Thanksgiving? When we were first in Florida for Thanksgiving we would go out to a restaurant for dinner.

Flagstaff trip done! And I got lucky going through the canyon both ways without slowpokes in front of me. It's hard when the speed limit so low (20-40) to have someone doing 10 mph under... I got my first Chick Fil A peppermint milkshake of the season and went to Home Goods and Petsmart. I didn't buy anything at HG, but I was tempted! I'm in a felt Christmas decoration phase and they had some cute felt decor, but like many things at HG, there was something ever so slightly off about them. Mostly the colors.
Kirby had a weird night. He slept on the floor for the first time ever. I even went and got a dog bed (he's never wanted to use one) from the storage room. And he slept on it! It was actually nice to have the bed to myself, but strange after 2 years.
It was a beautiful day here. Heaps of tourists around...
Salmon and broccoli for dinner after my milkshake. Balancing out the day!
Take care!
It is amazing to me that you have to go such a long distance to get to the big stores. I feel like it is far away here when we have to drive 15 minutes, though it was 1/2 hour on Cape Cod.
Do you think Kirby wasn't feeling well or had a sore leg/joint? Justice is like that a lot lately but this week even though we are in a different bed he has stayed on the bed with us every night so far. I wish they could tell us what they are thinking...

I think it was that I changed from the regular blanket to the down blanket and it looked different. So I'm going with it! I would prefer he wasn't on the bed anyway! He cried a bit in the middle of the night to get up, but I didn't acknowledge it and he settled back on his bed.
Well maybe you CAN teach an older dog new tricks ;)

Greetings all
Yet another nice sunny day. Kiln opened so I got new stuff from the studio after picking up payroll and getting dog food. I had new bisqued items so I started the glazing on those. Then I took the new stuff to the gallery. One of our newer members was there so I got to talk to him a bit
Came home and the house smelled like cooking so I asked DH what he had cooked. Potatoes. Turns out since I had informed him that he would have to peel the potatoes for Thanksgiving, he ordered a potato peeling machine!!! WTF! But he says it does a great job. I guess anything to get out of peeling potatoes by hand. Peps are you jealous? DH also got another apple tv to go on the tv that is mounted above the treadmill. Of course, the main big tv is only about 12 feet away. Our house looks like mission control at NASA.
So we will have the rest of the lentil soup tonight - maybe with potatoes in it since DH cooked quite a few.
Canned cranberry sauce Liz!! No good. I was about 20 years old before I knew there was any other kind thanks to crazy pat, but it sure is worth it to make the real thing and not that hard. Complements to your chef, Liz.
CC your day plans sound good. You are right that your own traditions are what matter. Parachuting in to someone else's traditions could be stressful. Nope.
DD did you taste the pie yet? Regarding gnats, we have a carnivorous plant. A pitcher plant. It seems to be thriving but I think it is either anorexic or vegan since I don't think it eats any gnats. Actually the gnats may be making a home in the puddle of water that the plant has to sit in. We had a couple of other carnivorous plants but they died. Starved for gnats. The place I got them from said they would eat all the fruit flies but not so.
Hey Paula, slow down and get in that spa. Packing takes time as does unpacking.
Hmm the studio building purchase may proceed since owner got some numbers together and they are quite reasonable. Rats more work.
