117.6

I am thankful to have you all as friends. My journey post surgery in the last 9 years has been so enriched by getting to know all of you and us supporting one another.

Yesterday I had my first Evenity shots. Boy did they hurt going in but my arms feel fine this morning. I am going to get some lidocaine cream to put on 1/2 hour before the shots next time so hopefully it won't be so bad.

Today will be a day of too much food. The charcuterie board we picked up yesterday would feed twice as many people. DH was complaining that it didn't have much meat. I think it has too much of everything... We pick up our cooked turkey dinner from the clubhouse at 11. It is supposed to be big enough to feed 12 people (we have 8). Definitely leftovers tomorrow night! Then lots of figuring out what can be frozen as we don't really have time to use the leftovers between now and 12/16 when we leave for Massachusetts.

Have a thankful and thoughtful Thanksgiving Thursday!

I'm thankful for all of you too! Even with hard things, and sad things, and wants that might go unfulfilled, there is so much in life to be grateful for and I am so lucky...

Lots of balloons up this morning. Seems like a fun way to spend Thanksgiving morning for those people and nice viewing from terra firma.

The Christmas tree lean isn't terrible. I'm thinking if I put some stuff in close to the trunk, it might disguise the fact that it isn't straight.

Off to start my turkey day! I hope you all have a marvelous day!

I'm sure the tree will still look fabulous - Kirby will think so anyway ;) I hope you had a relaxing day yesterday.

Happy Thanksgiving my VSG family! I too am so very thankful for your friendship, support and expertise!

120.2 today. Doing well weight wise. I didn't even check in yesterday. Still spending our days putting away stuff from endless boxes, building things we (I) ordered and buying more things!

This will be the first Thanksgiving that I have not spent with my kids. A little sad about that but also happy to be here in FL.

Our T-day dinner will be unconventional! We picked up some shrimp ****tail which may be lunch and then I plan on grilling some Cobia (fish) and since I was talking about my fav Thanksgiving side dish being broccoli supreme, I'm going to make that as our side! Key lime pie for dessert!

Have fun with family Liz and DD, happy decorating and Jammie's day CC, Happy turkey soup eating Diane, Happy puppy breath smells Peps! Wishing all of you regular and occasional posters alike a very blessed day!

Unconventional meal but it sounds like it was delicious. Good luck continuing the unpacking (you must be pretty far along now?).

Greetings turkey lovers!

I too am grateful for all of you! This group was started on a laptop in Phoenix 16+ years ago. Who knew? I so treasure our daily musings and advice. Long live the VSG maintenance group!

It is overcast here and the potatoes are underway. The peeling machine is large and noisy and in my opinion, not worth it. But DH must have his toys. It will likely go back into its box and into a closet to be lost to history along with the hand mixer which was never found. I will use the big counter top mixer.

Good job Liz on the take out dinner. And yay you for starting this thread daily. It is important. Best part of holiday dinners is the leftovers. Have a great time. Sorry the shots hurt. My hand surgeon shoots in a local anesthetic but before that he ices the spot which really does reduce injection site pain. Lidocaine is a great idea.

Ditto CC on your day of home comfort. Do you ever wave at the balloon people? Do they wave back? Thinking of you and your stuffing and gravy- the best parts of the meal.

Yay Paula on your first Florida thanksgiving. Nice to start some new traditions. Shrimp and fish for thanksgiving sounds great! A new direction helps with missing the past ones. I bet the pilgrims had fish anyway and no Stove Top.

DD we know you are out and about today and hope the driving weather is not too terrible and that you have fun at the multiple locations.

Not much else. Last night's soup was more like hash and not that great. Needed something. Maybe tomatoes.

Peace and Joy to all.

I do and they do too! The closest was what felt like feet from my kitchen window. Close enough for eye contact through the kitchen window!

Sometimes those gadgets look like a great idea but just don't function well (or are more trouble to use than they are worth). I have been talking myself out of an egg cooker because it probably would be in that category and it's not like it is all that difficult to use a pot on the stove.
