119.4 - still
Last day of November! I can't believe that December will be here tomorrow.
All the company got home safely. Those departing from Orlando were about 1.5 hours late but that's not unusual out of that airport and those flying from our local airport were early. We were guestless by about 5:30.
All the laundry is done! Today beds need to be made and towels put away. Also, we need to go through the remaining snacks and drinks to determine what to retain and where to store them. The refrigerator needs some stuff to be tossed and I will make and freeze a turkey pie with the remnants from dinner either today or tomorrow.
This afternoon we are playing 9 holes of golf with friends then having dinner with them at the clubhouse. They have a new Sunday menu with pasta dishes made completely from scratch available as full or half portions. I love half portions!
One more day without guests tomorrow, then DH's 2 sisters arrive Tuesday for 9 days. However I just looked at the weather in Massachusetts and I wouldn't be surprised if they delay their arrival by a day due to the likelihood of snow on Tuesday. Luckily they are fairly self-sufficient so we don't have to entertain them all the time.
The bus leaves at 7:30 as usual on Sundays. I wouldn't mind skipping but it is a tradition for DH. After that we will have our usual Justice walk before we begin work on the house. Have a silent Sunday!

201.9 for me this morning.
Liz, it must be nice to have your house back to yourself, even if it is just for a day or two before the sisters come. It just struck me how fortunate you were to find DH who already synced with your snowbird lifestyle. Ron also is a Sunday brunch guy. He grew up going out to breakfast after church and still really likes to do that.
My plans changed yesterday. I hibernated. I stayed in my joggers and played games, read, puttered and watched a documentary about the BTK Killer. However, I did make Ron a delicious dinner while he was at church. So maybe the tree didn't get up, but I still surprised him with a delicious home cooked meal. He was delighted.
Grooming this morning and will most likely do puppy tails this afternoon or evening.
I would kill for some sunshine! Or wind (or even rain... ) I'm just not a big fan of cold, gray gloom. Thank goodness I have things to do today or else it could be another lounging day! LOL!
December tomorrow! YIKES!
I bet Ron was happy! Also, 201.9! Getting there.

Greetings all
Early check in for this old lady. It is sunny (maybe only temporary) and I have gallery duty this afternoon. Yesterday was our anniversary party there and we had big sales! So I expect it to be slow today and I will spend some time trying to figure out how to minimize gallery taxes for the year. With any luck there will be some good snacks left over from the party.
Yesterday was pretty much dedicated to football and laundry. I did get to the gym so I don't feel too bad about missing today. Maybe I will walk around the gallery between spreadsheets and get some steps in.
More guests Liz!!! You know how to live. Sounds like the sisters can keep themselves entertained so that is good. And I too love restaurants that will do half orders or small plates.
Peps everyone needs a pj day once in awhile and you have catching up to do. Puppy tails and dew claws? Good on you for cooking a nice dinner. You are doing great weight wise.
I am sort of looking forward to Christmas this year. Odd because I used to be sort of a Scrooge due to years of family conflicts. Maybe I am over that. Mainly thinking about music and Christmas movies I want to watch again. Go figure.
Yes Paula induction stove! That is what I want. Thanks for the encouragement. I did look at a few yesterday but the store was busy and I didn't get sales help. Think I will go back on a week day when they are not busy. Need to figure out the difference between the $1200 model and the $3000 model. We will need a few new pans but not lots. (don't tell DH or he will order dozens)

I don't know anything about induction stoves. Will have to look into them next time I need a new stove. The one at the Cape is in bad shape but DH will probably only replace it when it completely dies. It is a really old one with those coil burners.
They didn't have 1/2 portions after all because no one ordered them the prior week so they took them off the menu. So I cut my portion in half and ate that then brought the rest home for a leftover meal tonight.

120.8, all good!
Checked out another church today. Not sure we have found our church home yet. Will continue the search!
Yesterday put together our last piece of purchased furniture (a hallway coat hanger and shoe storage thing). My coffee bar in the kitchen is coming along. That's where the countertop ice maker is being kept along with my Keurig machine and frother. I have alternating white and black mugs hanging on the wall above the bar and have a custom sign that reads Weber's coffee and Tea Bar coming! I think it is super cute!
Today we are going to some of DH's late wife's family's place in Cape Coral. A grill out and pool party. Technically the wife is DH's niece in law but they are at most only 5 years younger than us. His wife was the youngest and her Dad was the oldest of a pretty big family!
Glad you have a few days by yourselves Liz, albeit you will be busy readying the place for the next bunch!
Congrats on the new low weight (I think) Peps! So nice of you to make the nice dinner for Ron. Perhaps you can do the tree together!
Diane, I posted in yesterday's thread about the stovetop. What you want is an induction stovetop. They are wonderful!
Did you buy a coffee bar and put it together? I was thinking of getting something like that for my dining area.
Nice that DH still maintains connections with his former family like I do. You can't have too much family!

I think I'm a little sick? Sinuses a little drainy. I'm achy and my skin hurts (so weird) but no fever. Headachy and tired. So I'm still in my jammies.
I did thoroughly clean out the kitchen of everything on the counters. I didn't have a lot of decor in there, but there were a lot of little piles I needed to do things with, but hadn't yet. All that stuff has been relocated to the rooms that make the most sense to deal with them. I can work on that this week while the ceiling work is happening. And bonus, the counters got a full wipe down and I can be more judicious about what goes back. They'll be here at 7am. So I'll be up early!
Not quite sure what i'm going to et this week... Microwaved, cold things, or takeout, I'm guessing.
Okay, nap time! Take care...
