201.1 - slowly, but surely in the right direction.
Diamond D... Those temperatures are much too cold for my California self! I think the lowest I remember being in was a 4 degree morning when I lived in NYC. I woke to ice on the inside of my windows.
Taco Tuesday did happen! Delish!
Nice workout yesterday. Got some more of the office decluttered (still miles to go before I sleep...).
Bummer - looks like I caught Kathryn's bug when I visited the pups the other day. What's a little laryngitis on top of the tail end of a cold, right? At least I don't feel ****ty - but I did want to sleep this morning. Oh, and I'm supposed to be part of a podcast tonight. Not sure how that's going to go with this voice!
Today I will visit my old school (where I taught for 28 years before switching to music). I have to pick up some gift wrap I ordered. I have not stepped foot on any school grounds since May 30th. I have a recollection of some type of retirement dream last night, so I guess the visit snuck into my subconsciousness.
Not much else going on today.
Only 1.2 to go to be under 200!!

Greetings all
Everyone is early today including me! The sun is out and it seems calm although there are beach warnings for big waves. It is the king tide time of year which is due to the position of earth to the moon and sun in orbit which is about as much as I can explain. There will likely be some flooding along the coast. I have had my brunch and am getting ready to go out - must visit the gym. After that I will go buy clay and hit the studio. The low temperature at night has resulted in frost warnings but not a hard freeze.
Goodness DD stay home today!! No need to subject yourself to cold. Yeah cold air really messes with skin plus the heated air inside. I used to get a terrible face rash when I skied that needed cortisone. Hope you can avoid that. And hey no rush on the Christmas stuff. I like colored lights but all are good. Our neighborhood is full of inflatable Santas and such. Lots of kids around here. A book that was highly recommended to me by someone I respect is "Memoirs of a Polar Bear". I downloaded it but have not read it. Might be a good tea book.
Liz china hutches are rare things these days. Seems like the second hand option is a good one but I don't blame you for not wanting to paint one. Many years ago I painted the kitchen cupboards in my first house. Major pain. GL with soup!
So DH has recently become concerned with his balance and mobility. He has some kind of device that is a balance board. You stand on it and it wiggles around and allegedly improves your balance. I tried it once and hated it. But he is on a mission so I will go with it. Walking the treadmill which is a good thing. Of course walking on treadmill includes watching news and talking back to the tv.
Peps you are so close! We are rooting for you. Look forward to hearing about the school visit.
No clue on dinner tonight. I will think about it later.

Tell DH to practice brushing his teeth while balancing on one foot then the other. Kills two birds with one stone. The balance boards are good too. If they are too challenging at first, try standing in a pillow you have laid on the floor! We did balance exercises with our patients all the time! Much needed as one ages!
121.4 I think. Slowly edging up. That trend can stop. I have been feeling hungrier/snackier as of late!
Today I tried to get somewhat caught up on my Bible study reading. I plan to join my group back in WI via speaker phone tomorrow! I miss them!
Relaxed by the pool for the first time today and some pool loungers were delivered today as well so I tried them out. I post a few pics on TT. The whole world doesn't need to see me in a bikini! Lol!
Hello Fresh chicken Schwarma tonight. The cucumber they sent was mushy so not a complete recipe. Bummer. I like the one with yellow rice better anyway. Will have to look closer at which one I am getting!
DH is putting in some more much needed shelving closets today. I did very little putting away of things today! It felt good but there is still plenty to be done!
Have any of you tried the Dubai chocolates with the pistachio filling. I guess they are all the rage. They were selling them at Costco so I picked up a box. They are okay but I doubt I will purchase again.
Plan for tonight is hot tub and a glass of wine! Will be a nice end to a good day!
