120.4, down another smidge.
It is mid 70's today but cloudy and feels chilly, not that I'm complaining! Way better than WI weather. They have been hit with a lot of snow and cold already this year.
DH is golfing for the first time since we move here today. He texted that the play is slow but he is having fun! Good for him! I did my Sales and Use tax for my photo biz and then closed it out! I would need a FL seller's license if I want to continue it here anyway!
I put together my vanity chair and hung up my coffee bar sign. I'll post pics of both on TT!
Sorry Justice isn't doing well after his vaccinations. Bella got really sick from flea and tick medicine so we don't do that or the heartworm for either of the dogs anymore. They still get rabies shots and bordetella.
DD, brrrrrr! Glad you have a getaway planned soon. Nice that you can choose to stay inside if you want.
Heartworm is really rampant in Florida with all the mosquitoes. Almost all the stray dogs who came into the shelter when Justice was there had it including him. He was picked up as a stray in Lee County.

Greetings all
It't a blue bird day here. No clouds and the sky is that intense shade of winter blue. Sort of a wedgewood blue but brighter. There are still beach hazard warnings yet no wind that I can detect. All is well.
Not much to do today other than gym and studio. I did the same stuff yesterday plus a hippie dippy grocery run. I seem to have a shopping addiction there - love all the little containers of peculiar deli salads and I buy whatever speaks to me. Not exactly weight friendly option as most are not high protein. I did manage to find another pot roast for Saturday as I have gallery duty again. I have lots of shifts this month due to helping out another member.
Poor Justice! It there a doggie aspirin or something he can take to ease his discomfort? I have always gotten all the shots recommended but for an older dog it makes sense to skip some. Maybe next time they can spread them out or something. Reminds me that Poppy is due for some kind of shot. We do heart worm preventative even though there is not much of it around here. Leptospirosis has been found in dead seals on the beach.
Congrats DD on surviving the dentist. Glad the old one is there and that you had no bad news. I have a crown for next month and a tranquilizer set aside. You are inspiring me to make cookies! Got a favorite? I was always a fan of spritz but no longer have a cookie press.
DH now has a new book for old people exercises to help with balance and such. Something else arrived in a box yesterday but I have no clue what it is.
Peps don't beat yourself up for being non productive. Computer games count as self care.
So I got my marching orders for Christmas dinner. Something fruity to go with ham. I have a chunky apple sauce recipe that is good and quick that will work. And I scored on some frozen chicken livers so I have those for pate.
CC I am not sure if that dog breath product deals with bacteria in gums or not. Just a breath thing that is supposed to reduce tooth scale though I am not sure it works for that. And rats on having to repaint a wall.
World's cutest baby has been reported to say "da da".

I did give Justice a carprofen this morning. I had some left over from his last tooth removal. He is much better now so it might partially be that or maybe the vaccine side effects are just wearing off. We took a nice walk this afternoon and he was absolutely normal including going down and up the stairs. Also he is barking at noises outside again LOL.
Chunky applesauce and chicken liver pate sound delicious!

Way more than you want to know:
DH's favorite is peanut butter blossoms, but not with Hershey kisses. I have to find the Brachs chocolate stars because, "The chocolate to cookie ratio is better". DD's are Mexican Wedding Cakes ( or Russian Tea Cakes). Basically shortbread rolled in powdered sugar. My special something something is to roll them three times. My favorite are thumbprints with raspberry jelly. Some add the jelly after baking, but I like to bake them with the jelly already in the thumbprint. DS's favorite is fudge. I cheat and use marshmallow fluff. Other cookies depend on what I'm in the mood to play around with. I have one recipe where you put a sprig of rosemary in some brown sugar for a day or two to infuse it, and use it in the dough. Then you make these fussy little disks, and make a sandwich cookie with a marscapone lemon filling. I may have time for those this year : ) Tomorrow I'm going to try a new to me recipe for Italian Ricotta Cookies. Not very fussy, shape with a cookie scoop, frost and add sprinkles. Can frost with lemon or almond flavoring. I think I'll divide the batch and try both.
I love Spritz cookies, but never bought myself a cookie press, so I'm always hoping someone else will show up with them at a party.
Yay all great sounding cookies DD. LOL on the requirements for peanut butter blossoms. Yep Russian tea cakes are one of my favorites. I have a recipe for them that has only honey in the dough and lots of nuts. I also used to have a recipe for cardamum apricot pecan drops that was super good but I can't find it. How fun it all sounds. ds

Teeth cleaning done for another six months! Goodness my dental hygienist is chatty! As ever, nice compliments from her and the dentist about not helping them pay their rent.
Ugh, had to pause because Kirby threw up on the rug. Good times.
I read about the rescue all those trucks were headed to yesterday. A member of group of climbers got hit in the head by falling rocks and he fell 40 feet onto an inaccessible ledge. They had to get him out by helicopter. https://gcmaz.com/kaff_news/climber-airlifted-after-40-foot- fall-near-sedona/
(The intersection the helicopter in the picture is landing in is the last turn to get to my neighborhood.)
The deck builders and stucco guys were here all day. The lead guy said he hopes they'll be done next week. But I am down to one porta potty so things are looking up!
On the way to the dentist I dropped off two more boxes of thrift store donations.
Nothing scheduled for tomorrow except laundry! Take care everyone!
