I have to agree it sounds like influenza. Comes on fast, sore throat, fever., aches, chills. The only symptom missing is coughing. Hopefully that is NOT coming. Being able to breath through your nose also says probably flu, as colds usually bring nasal congestion.

Sorry you are still feeling ill. It does sound like the flu or Covid. I took a nap already too and my fever broke and I woke up in a pool of sweat! Yuck! Showered and have just been sitting in my chair all day! Thankfully no body aches for me. I hate those!

Interesting about the Evenity shot. It makes sense. I found my Wegovy stings. something fierce if I don't let it warm up for awhile. Good news it is not going to hurt like the first one, because you still have 10 shots ahead of you.

It's snowing again. 24 inches so far this winter, but not all of it is still on the ground, because there have been some above freezing days that melted it down a bit. The freeways are fine, but the side streets are still sloppy and icy from Sunday's storm. When I saw the snow this morning, I wasn't sure I wanted to drive, but I did and it wasn't too bad. So I ended 2026 with a workout and I feel good!

Our friends who host our annual NYE party are in Argentina today, so we're on our own. We decided to do lunch, and probably won't stay up for midnight because dh works 7-12 tomorrow. We're driving into the city to go to Capitol Grille. We've never been, and I discovered they have a small plates menu for their lounge/bar so we made reservations for the lounge. It's almost perfect: lovely restaurant with some upscale food and ****tails, but not too much food : )

Tomorrow we visit our friends vacation home, and the new year begins!

That lounge with the small plates does sound perfect! DH and I love going to tapas restaurants! No NYE celebration for us this year. I will be surprised if I make it to 8:00, even with a nap in already today.
