Happy Anniversary to Paula and her DH. Time flies doesn't it?

Hopefully all sick folks are at least a bit better today.

So many questions about the arrest of Maduro in Venezuela. Was the action legal? Will Congress okay it after the fact? Can the US really run the country (should it)? Definitely best to be Canadian when out of the US these days.

Yesterday was a good day. We went to Port St Lucie to look at a hutch I saw on FB Marketplace. It is an old, heavy, solid piece that has been refinished and will fit perfectly in the wall space I want it on. It is being delivered tomorrow. Very reasonable delivery price which made that decision easy. Picture below. After that we went to an outdoor Tiki bar on the water in that area to listen to music and have appetizers for dinner. I had shrimp on a skewer with pineapple and a coconut sauce. So good!

Today the usual Sunday bus leaves at 7:30, followed by a Justice walk. We have a Nine and Dine golf outing at 2:30. Most everyone in the community is playing. It should be fun. We start on the one hole where the tee shot is over water. A mental challenge especially on the first tee shot of the day.

DH made reservations for our Anniversary at that seafood restaurant we really liked in ***** Gorda but we will need to go a different time, I'm still feeling pretty crappy. Boooooooo! Finally took a Sudafed today but still feeling very plugged up. I'll have to cancel my dentist appointment for tomorrow too, I doubt they will want to work in my germ filled mouth!

120 even today. As predicted, the upward trend has started! I miss going to water aerobics but will wait until I am on the mend. Not fair to get others sick too.

So sorry you are still under the weather! Out of curiosity, what is the name of that seafood restaurant? I wonder if I've been there.

Been there many times!!!! We used to go with our friends on our annual visits, then after we lived in Port Charlotte. There aren't many good restaurants in Port Charlotte so typically we would go to ***** Gorda when we wanted to go out. Another favorite in ***** Gorda is Carmelo's, an Italian restaurant.

Do keep that Anniversary card in your pocket for a time when you're feeling better..saving it for when the celebration can be best enjoyed.

yes, poor dog fits in well with the state of the house at this moment. My dissatisfaction with the overall scruffiness is a sign that I am finally feeling better. Tomorrow is my turnaround day for sure and looking forward to it.

The situation in Venezuela ( no- edit that to the here and now state of affairs in our very own country ) has me deeply disturbed. That the other two branches of government are seemingly complacent and/or incapable of standing up to this madness.....

Yes, will post a picture when hutch is installed. i am pleased to have found one so solid because the new ones I found cost a whole lot more and were made out of fake wood.

The rain has paused for a bit. Not exactly sunny but oh well. I need to wash my hair and get out and about for a bit. Hopefully nothing is on fire in Arcata. The fire two days ago took out pretty much a whole city block and the entire town is in a dither. I have a friend who has a beautiful victorian house about a block from the site. She is fine. Part of the fire was next to a hardware store and other retail places and there is paint and solvents in the run off from extinguishing the fire so environmental alert. It is only a few blocks from the bay. Big mess and people lost their apartments.

Paula sorry your are still ailing. Agreed: delay your dinner until you can enjoy it. Sounds like you need to sit in a hot tub or steam room. Afrin nose spray works pretty well (from a person who has tried every cold remedy).

Once again Peps kicks dog show butt! Great wins! Those shows are no doubt highly competitive and I bet have huge entries. I told my brother to go but probably he won't. Anyway extra treats for all the winners. But you had to really hustle all day with 3 dogs and multiple classes - the more you win the more you have to work!

Maybe one more day of pot roast here then it is time to figure out groceries again. I must do fish more often. And must shop for the stove this week. Might have some sales.

Hey Bonnie welcome to the disheveled terrier club. My two really need brushing and bathing. At the moment they are outside listening to the tree frogs croak. Tis the season for croaking.
