You are lucky that the bruising is minimal. I did everything they said to do but still had a fair amount of bruising. I just looked at my old pictures. It took about 2 weeks for the swelling to be at a point that I didn't look totally weird (though it was still there a bit). It was a full month before the bruising was reduced enough that heavy duty makeup wasn't necessary. Probably 6 weeks before all signs were pretty much gone.

Thanks so much for the timeline. I'm day 5 out from surgery and am still very swollen. I feel like a look like a big headed cartoon character, like Stewie from Family Guy or Mr. Mackey from South Park. I have given myself a 2 week stay at home window, but I'm already getting restless.

The fun thing about eating out, besides getting to try new delicious things you did not have to plan and cook, is LEFTOVERS!

Grief is so individual. It is why parents who lose a child very frequently break up afterwards. Very hard to be a couple when you are grieving in your own way.

That restaurant sounds like a must try!

Awww... I have been having a lot of puppy pics popping up on Facebook lately. I have had 2 Thanksgiving litters and 2 December litters. So fun to see those memories!

Still snotty and coughing! It's the illness that keeps on giving! And total TMI (sorry Peps), but my TOM came after 133 days and reset my one year menopause clock. Insult to injury! As if I wasn't exhausted enough already...

My house is a disaster, but I got all the soft ornaments off the tree and boxed. Now onto the breakables.

It's dry and windy and cool today. Not a cloud in sight.

That's my world in a nutshell. Hope you all are faring better!

Oh my gosh CC, this is just going on way too long! And sorry TOM is not over for good yet. A hysterectomy sealed the deal for me at 42, and I never looked back. Hoping it is all behind you soon.

Talk about adding insult to injury! I had gone without a period for at least six months maybe more and had been very irregular for years! Shortly after I started dating DH I suddenly became quite regular! I guess new love awakened something! We hadn't been using protection because I didn't think getting pregnant was even a remote possibility. Can you imagine having a baby in your early 50's? Yikes!

I knew someone who had identical twin boys when she was in her 50's. They were little terrors but cute as a button LOL.
