It does sound like you are right on schedule for your healing. You look so much better than I did at that point!!! Minimal bruising so when all the swelling goes down you should be good to go. Good that you could get off the Percocet. Yucky stuff.

119.2, back down to my low!

Went to water aerobics this morning and it was chilly. Will probably go tomorrow and then not again until it warms up!

I finally went in to Urgent Care today. Had to go to 3 of them before finding one that accepted my insurance even though all 3 were listed as approved providers on my insurance's webpage! Grrrrrr! My abscesses were drained and I am on antibiotics. Hopefully this thing will finally be kicked. I'm feeling fatigued and somewhat congested again! Boooo! I guess I should have gone a week ago!

So sorry you are still sick too. I have heard stories like this from other friends where they look up on the insurance site to see if the doctor is covered, but then the doctor's office says they don't take that insurance. It is getting ridiculous trying to find medical coverage these days.

Greetings all

Another sunny one here. I had gallery duty this afternoon and it was pleasant due to sun. Also a friend stopped in with one of our puppies - the one I called Batgirl" - so that was fun. Easy way to pass the time as she is quite chatty. A few interesting visitors. And we have a pot pie for tonight so all is well with the world.

Peps you look great and appear to be healing nicely. No way to ru**** though.

Absesses Paula? WTF? sorry it took so many visits to get care. Rest please. You too CC. Hope the rugs go away without too much drama.

So I don't get this stuff about TT going away except I guess that is what it means. Someone will have to tell me about the message group since I am tech challenged.

Enjoy Universal Liz. Years ago I did the LA one but I bet the one there is bigger and better. Come to think of it, I might have gone there before Harry Potter even existed. That is a long time. LOL clean up before the housekeeper. We do that too.

I stopped in the studio briefly and found I have lots of new stuff ready to glaze. Always more to do there. But the sun means that stuff dries out more quickly so the process moves along. During rainy times we have to set stuff on top of warm kilns to get it to dry.

Watched the Golden Globes last night. I always love seeing the high fashion dresses. Most of the movies we have not seen. Gotta work on that. One Battle After Another was filmed in part around here so we must see that.

I just get rid of the clutter and get stuff off the floor so it can be thoroughly cleaned (and toiletries away for the same reason). I want to make sure they can get at what needs to be cleaned easily plus it is a good opportunity to declutter on a regular basis (though I typically am not very cluttery at any time).

How many of us are in a state of recuperation or fighting germs? I think Diane and I are the only ones not in recovery.

I hope you have fun at Universal Liz. About 8 years ago we went to do the Harry Potter attractions. Really well done! DD grew up in the Harry Potter years, as the books were coming out, and it was a huge passion in her youth, so I know a lot about HP via osmosis, although I didn't read the books, I went to all the movies with my kids.

I'm back at my Dad's house. Today was finalizing service with the pastor, and ordering flowers, and finding the phone numbers of some of my parent's friends. As I've said more than once since Thuraday, the person with the answers is no longer here. I did sleuth out the numbers: one friend has a son who is a dentist, so I called his office and left a message for his son, to tell his Dad to call my Dad. And he did. I heard him telling my Dad we've been friends a long, long time.My Dad is almost 88, his friend is 90. True, they've known each other since 1972, so yeah, a long time.

My Dad is still talking and talking. I'm so tired. DD has stepped up to be the ear right now, bless her.

My city is in pain. We who live here are in pain. I know the rhetoric is they're getting criminal immigrants, but there are multiple, indisputable examples of actual citizens being taken off the street and held for hours, and released hours and hours later when somebody finally checked their status. One of my friend's brother was held 6 hours, with no apology for being roughed up. Clearly there was NEVER a warrant for his arrest as he is neither a criminal or an immigrant. He was just snatched for being in the wrong place and wrong color. Another friend, whose daughter goes to a Spanish immersion school, had to turn around at drop off because the drop off line was swarming with ICE and he couldn't safely leave her there. Terrorizing 1st and 2nd graders.

Not much on my to do list tomorrow, except pick up the pasties (CC probably knows these from Michigan) a Finnish version of an empanada. The folded over pie pastry is filled with meat, carrots, potatoes, onions AND, what makes it Finnish, rutabagas.

My Dad said he was going to bed at 7pm. 45 minutes later, he is standing in the kitchen with his monologue going strong. I think he's winding down. Oh, he just looked at the clock: 7:45, I'd better get up there. Night Dad. : )

ETA: Nope. He's talking some more.

I am so sick about what is happening in your city. I watched several of the videos and I don't think there was any justification for that shooting. Maybe PTSD, but that also means he was back on duty in that role when he shouldn't have been.

So very sad about what is going on in the Twin Cities with ICE, well everywhere with ICE really! Scary that you can get taken just for being out in public!
