Mine had baskets that severely restricted the size of anything in the freezer. May have just been this model.

Congratulations on getting a good gate design and quote. Win!

And so happy to hear that your Dad is feeling well and they are coming to visit.

I think the trainer is wise to recommend that. I started having problems with my shoulders in my 50's and didn't think it was a big deal but I did end up with torn ligaments back then because of the motions I was using in the gym.

Yay on the weight! You are doing well!

So glad your Dad is well enough to come with his wife and visit you! Even better that he will probably be able to take in some activities!

Good idea to have the shoulder looked at before trying out new exercises. Wouldn't want to do more damage!

Greetings all

The sun is in and out today but it will get up to 60 maybe. Warmer than Florida! Thanks for the weather info CC. La nina is clearly at work. There are more high sea warnings here but I see detect wind and we are 1.5 miles from the ocean. Guess it has its own wind. The crab fishing season just started so I hope the boats will be safe. Me want crab.

So studio buddy was supposed to come over today for some tech support but called and was too tied up with other stuff. So it will be tomorrow. I think she needs anti anxiety meds and will suggest it when she starts complaining about it which is sure to happen. Oh well. That leaves me free today to do the gym and a few other things. I did not find the bracelet in the linen closet but will now start on the walk in in our bedroom. That is where it likely is but I wanted to start with the less onerous closet. Seeing studio buddy go into analysis paralysis over her messy house is motivating me to take action.

So I did the gym yesterday. When I arrived I parked next to a distinctive white van. Went in, climbed the stairs and did 15 minutes on the treadmill and then went back to my car. The white van was still there and I noticed a child in a car seat in the front. About 3 years old. The kid did not seem distressed but it bothered me that the child had likely been alone in the car all that time. I went back in the gym and there was a young woman at the front desk singing up for membership. I asked if that was her child in the van and was he ok? She said yes he is fine. So I left bu****ched until she came out and drove away. It was not a warm day but the van was shut tight and it made me nervous.

So I vote for french door refrigerators. I like only opening one side. Also full sized refrigerator doors almost always have the draw bridge effect so that when open they block a doorway or pathway. My late friend, a kitchen wizard, had a full sized upright freezer next to a full sized upright refrigerator. Both were always stuffed. Anyway Liz you are right to just get a new one as they don't make things worth repairing anymore. (remembering the Saturday night Live sketch about the refrigerator repair man at the Lubners).

Go easy on those ears Peps! Glad you could sleep properly. Side sleeping is a must in my opinion.

More yum yum sandwiches tonight. Onward to the closet. Hoping that no boa constrictors fall from trees in Florida.

It certainly does sound like studio buddy could use something to reduce her anxiety.

With all the news about the danger of leaving children in cars I can't believe that people still do that. I think the only time I did it a million years ago was in our driveway in our very safe neighborhood with the door open.

FYI, it is illegal in CA to leave a child under 6 years old unattended in a parked car in certain weather conditions, with the engine running, or with the keys in the ignition. Children may be left in a car supervised by a person 12 years of age or older. You can look it up: California Vehicle Code 15620

Had a mom at our school temporarily lose custody of her children for leaving the 4 year old in the car at night while running an errand (granted she did meet her friend at a bar to drop something off and decided to have a quick drink since the kid was sleeping.... )

Some people shouldn't be parents...

I would have been worried about the child alone in the van too. Good for you for speaking up. Maybe it will give Mom pause the next time!

Remind me, are Yum yum sandwiches ground beef sandwiches, kind of like sloppy Joes but less saucy and with onions? My Dad used to make a sandwich he called Maid Rites with burger, onion and ketchup. They were pretty good!

Yep Paula what we call yum yums or Tastees are essentially maid rite sandwiches. There are multiple recipes for the sauce including horseradish and worcestershire sauce and stuff but no ketchup. I mostly just do onions with mustard and pickles added.

And yeah that was my goal in going back into the gym and asking the young woman if that was her child. Her response was sort of with irritation but I said ok, just checking and I think I made my point. The van was not running and the kid did not appear at all distressed or I would have made a bigger fuss. This van only had windows at the front seat so I could not see if there were older kids in the back but I think not.

So glad you waited on 5e mom and said something. A three year old can get into all sorts of trouble in a car! Put it in gear and have it roll, play with the cigarette lighter (I burned my thumb as a little kid playing in the car in the garage unsupervised ), or be carjacked. Mom wasn't thinking.

Hope the Keys will be warmer than your place or mine. Brrrrrr! Had to cover up my herb garden again!

120 even today. Yesterday was 120.8 at home (naked and first thing in the morning) but 125.something at the doctors (fully clothed and fed). Finally got set up with my electrophysiologist (heart rhythm doctor that manages my defibrillator). Can't get in to see a PCP until the summer but that is when my annual is due anyway.

Busy today with indoor activities as it is too cold for outdoor activities. I did more photo editing and made up quite a few groupings of pictures to hopefully sell at one of the antique store/flea market shops. I also got a call from a guy that bought some cards from me at an art fair. He gives them out as handwritten thank you cards to business clients and he was inquiring about ordering more.

Think DH and I will relax tonight and watch tv or perhaps a movie!
