119.8 - minus .4. Basically back into my usual range for the last year and a half.

Nice day yesterday - not too windy so not too cool. We did need to wear light jackets and long pants but it was pleasant. DH and I spent the afternoon in Key West walking along the waterfront and stopping in a couple of places for drinks. DH bought a t-shirt to replace an old one that is falling apart. We met our non-walking friends at a restaurant just outside of Key West for dinner. The movie of the evening was Flash Dance. Footloose is still winning in the best movie category.

Today (and for the rest of our time here) it is supposed to be 70 or higher. Not sure that any day will qualify as a beach day but they will certainly be outdoor days. Maybe we shall see more Key Deer on our walk. They certainly are used to being a protected species as even the dog doesn't make them nervous. So pretty.

Have a satisfying Saturday!

193.8. That's just over 10 pounds! 10 more exactly to a "normal" BMI. I should probably scan myself in my measurement suit to celebrate.

Today is RunSedona, the half marathon, 10k, and 5k. It's all done on the road to my house (the turn around for the half marathon is at the bottom of our street), so the road is closed until 11. Funny how I can go days not wanting to leave the house, but the second I am forbidden from leaving I have all sorts of things I want to leave to do!

Later a guy who does odd jobs in Sedona and advertises on NextDoor is coming to take a bunch of big stuff I have to the dump transfer station; two big, stiff rug pads and two pallets nailed into a T by a shipping company who brought a mirror. It'll be nice to have them out of my garage.

Countdown to the parental arrival on Monday. I need to clean this weekend.

Crazy story: My dad's wife hates bats. So of course they somehow get them in their house occasionally. She said they were watching tv yesterday when they both saw something fly from the kitchen into the living room and back. Sure enough a bat! (I thought they hibernated?? It's 17 degrees there.) Anyway, they are trying to chase it out the door and it flies into the basement. So they shut the door and shove towels along the bottom to keep it there. Then they went to dinner and left/returned through that door. They're taking off their boots and walking up the short flight to the kitchen door that's shut to keep the bat in the basement and my dad yells, it's on your foot!! It's hanging on the back of Claudia's sock! She's shaking to get it off and they happen to be holding their bat capture tools - a net and a tennis racket - they had bought that afternoon at the sporting goods store, so once it's off of her, they trap it with the net, then scoop it up with the racket and throw it outside. While I was talking to them, I made my dad go get the huge magnifying glass with a bright light I got him for Christmas to look on her leg for punctures. There were none, thank God, or that means rabies shots. Lots of bickering over what foot it was, so they checked both. Is that nuts?!

The turkey thing was good, but not great. Not sure I'll make it again. Hope you all are having a good day where you are!

I don't like bats either! Hope between your Dad and Claudia, a through exam of the feet was given!

Bats are creepy though useful creatures. We found one in a living room vase once - it probably flew in but couldn't get out because it couldn't open its wings. They used to sleep inside our closed patio umbrella when we were only going to the Cape on weekends. We had to be very careful when opening them.
