Each day seems to be bringing gifts to you. I am sure that your Mom was flitting around in happiness for you.
The deck off the ship we were on was great but also not so easy to get back onto. The stairs were a little high. DH had to slither into the deck and was making porpoise noises after he did so to the amusement of the other people that day.
Some cultures are much more kind to aging people than America. We had companions with my MIL almost 100% of the time in her last couple of years and most of them came from Jamaica. Such kind and caring women. They told us a lot of them did that work because it was an extension of what they would have been doing in their own country - taking care of their aging family members.

Yay for beach days Liz! I did make it to water aerobics today!
I didn'****ch any of the Super Bowl or the commercials. Heard some chatter about the half time show (mostly good). I'm not much into tv if DH isn't around. He is now in Milwaukee to be with DSD after her surgery tomorrow.
Still busy distressing frames and printing out photos. I'll post a few on TT!
Not sure what I will have for dinner. Breakfast was a Built Puff bar and snacks throughout the day consisted of wasabi peas, 3 fresh mozzarella pearls (the tiny ones) and a Swiss roll! Feeling like I want some "real " food but don't really want to make it! I do have some leftovers from last night that I can warm up!
Enjoy that weather! I am missing water aerobics but it is finally beautiful weather here too.
I hope your leftovers were somewhat substantial. It does sound like you needed something a bit more.

Greetings all
It is overcast today but not raining. More like our usual winter. I went to the studio to pick up newly fired stuff and made a few things. After that I stopped at the bank for some cash and decided to take out a new CD since I had extra in the checking. Had to call my niece to get her SSI number since she is beneficiary. I told her don't worry I am not croaking. Money from my mom that she should have.
CC how adventurous you are to clean out the fridge. Good plan. Get rid of all the jars with one pickle and who knows how many mustards!! Nice going. Now you are set for guests and the fridge is good for quite awhile. Reminds me of when we moved and had to clean out. Amazing what was discovered and some complete unknowns in the freezer.
Yep Paula you had better get some real food. For sure something hot. Like soup.
DD what a great boat ride. (said as one who cannot get back on a boat without help). You are rocking the beach days and the grotto sounds very special. And agreed about the hummingbird. A message for sure.
Chili tonight left over from last night. We had a fun super bowl watch whi*****luded cheesecake. We liked the Bad Bunny show. Also watched some Olympics. I like the skiing and figure skating and snow boarding. Years ago I used to ski and I remember times before there were any snow boarders. Skiers hate them because of how the boards scape the snow around into bumps. Someone once told me snowboarding was like falling down the stairs with your shoes tied together. Those jumps are astonishing,

I think snowboarding was new when my younger kids took lessons. As I recall youngest DD preferred snowboarding over skiing right away. I did see a couple of brief snippets of ice dancing yesterday while we were out to lunch but that's it so far.

Not sure if this post will make it to publication. OH seems to be having internal difficulties this evening.
201.2 this morning. I like that... Heading back down to where I wish to be.
Where to start... Little things to share... My dad was tired on Saturday and slept for most of our visit. He woke occasionally, smiled spoke, and then drifted right back to sleep. He finally woke up close to dinner time. So I sat with him encouraging him to eat. He tried a ravioli, and swore he ate his meat (like a 5 year old) even though he hadn't touched it. I tasted it to show him it was good, but he said he was going to have a candy bar instead. I said, okay and left it at that. At one point he looked over and saw a framed photo of himself and my mom. It was a portrait I arranged some 30+ years ago. He commented on what a lovely picture it was. Since there are a few family photos on that table, I asked which one. He smiled and said, "The one of the President and First Lady. It's such a nice photograph of them." I got a big kick out of that. I have no idea if he was in that moment unable to recognize himself and my mom, or if he was just thinking it looked like a official White House photo of a president and a first lady, or what was going through his mind. But there was such firm happiness in his voice when he said that, it made me happy. It's the little moments that can bring me joy on those days when is a shell of the person he once was.
Brother came down from Reno to take Ron and me out for our b'days. We had a lovely lunch. I'm getting three meals out of it! LOL! Score for VSG combined with tirzepatide. The best part of it was a warmed butter cake with vanilla gelato for dessert presented with a sparkler instead of candles. I'll post on TT.
My 30 days of no lifting is over. I got to work out for real today! Whoo hooooo! Damn it felt good. I will probably be a bit sore tomorrow even though the weights were super light. I did 6 sets of Russian twists with a weight ball. That might prove to be problematic tomorrow... LOL
I LOVED the Bad Bunny half time show. I am appalled by the negativity surrounding the half time show.
Buster has an ear infection in both ears... Boooo.... Poor guy! He goes to the vet tomorrow.
Hasta la bye bye!
Your Dad has changed a lot in the last few months, but it is good that he is happy.
Congratulations on being back to your weightlifting. I am sure you must feel pleased (even if a little sore) about that.
Poor Buster. My beagles used to get ear infections periodically and they did not love the drops I had to put down into their ears. Luckily the chihuahuas don't get them much with their upright ears.
