119.4 - down another .4. Probably because I ate very little for lunch. We went to a place where our friends think the grouper Reuben is wonderful. I hated it because it was fried with a whole lot of extra crunchy batter. I ate a very small amount of the fish after stripping off the batter and a few fries.

Before going to lunch I sat in the sun on our dock with Justice. Very pleasant. This was after our 5 deer walk. They are such sweet creatures. Apparently that is part of the reason they are endangered. They are getting too used to coexisting with humans.

Today we were going to go to Key West to poke around a bit and go to dinner there. Not sure if that is happening now as the more mobile of our friends says her hips are hurting her so she can't walk around. Her DH is usually the one least mobile because his ability to walk was greatly affected by the stroke he had almost 40 years ago. As he ages, he is starting to use a walker periodically and sometimes a wheelchair. I guess DH and I are lucky that we rarely have any issues affecting our mobility. Regardless we will take our usual 4 mile walk with Justice this morning.

Have a timely Tuesday!

192.2 Probably a little dehydrated

My folks got in safely and immediately went to sit in the sun on the loungers out back. We had a nice dinner and Kirby is in heaven with them here. He was awake and crying to get out my room to go sit and cry in front of their door before the sun came up.

Today is the last warm day for a while, so we'll be staying close to the lounge chairs. My neighbor is having a piece of furniture delivered and couldn't be there so asked me to go receive it, so just as well we're staying here.

My dad continues to do so well. We were remarking how even last winter he wasn't quite right. So that infection was lurking for a while. He seems years younger and happier. Such a blessing considering all he's been through. It was so sweet, we were walking around looking at the yard and he said, "I feel like how my dad must have felt looking at our house - proud and amazed".

My gate design got approved this morning, so yay!

I think that's all from here! Have a lovely day!

Enjoy the sun and more importantly your Dad and Claudia! Too cute about Kirby wanting to visit them so early this morning! Though I doubt you thought it was very cute!

Great news about your Dad doing so well. Kirby must be in seventh heaven with all his favorite people around.

Sorry your less mobile friends are holding you back a bit! You and Mike are in incredible shape! You are 10 years older than me and I doubt I could keep up with you (and I consider myself to be in better than average shape!)

I've seen the grouper Reuben on a few menus here. So far I've just opted for the regular grouper sandwich, grilled not fried! I did get some fried on a seafood platter though and it was good too!

119.8, yesterday was 120.6 so down almost a pound. I didn't eat much yesterday. I did end up having leftovers for dinner and will do the same tonight.

Water aerobics this morning and then busy work the rest of the day. I wrote some bad reviews on Google and Yelp for the place we bought our cart from and submitted a formal complaint with the Florida Better Business Bureau. Might even look into small claims court if we need to. The more I investigate, the madder I get. The special on their website states the carts are a 2025 model and what was delivered was a discontinued 2022/23 model. They baited and switched us!

Will work on Bible study stuff tonight! So funny that the tv has not been on since DH left!

Grouper Reuben's are really good if grilled and put together with the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing. We didn't expect the fried version.

You go getting back at the cart dealer. Have you given up on convincing them to do anything?

The Better Business Bureau acts as a liaison between customer and business and will try to get an acceptable resolution for both parties.

Greetings all

More clouds today but no rain. That will hold off for a few more days. Scrabble was fun even though I only won one. I was close to beating the Shark but not quite. Then I stopped in the studio and piddled around and did not get much done. Got hungry and came home for tuna and crackers.

Grouper Reuben!! That sounds gross Liz. Fried anything is appealing but does it have saurkraut and cheese? Icky. Sorry your friends were not up for walking but I get it. You guys are great to do 4 miles on a regular basis. Extra weight is one reason I don't walk more. The saying move it or lose it is so true.

DH went to costco and I convinced him to get some shrimp. Our costco is virtually exploding at all times since there is no Sams or other option and the Walmart here is smaller than most and oddly located. I have not been in Walmart in years. I am grateful that DH is willing to go there as I have developed an aversion to large retail establishments.

Speaking of mobility my scrabble hostess is doing much better. No one ever figured out why she had such pain. She wants to go back to pilates but has to wait for PT first.

CC glad your folks arrived safely and that your dad is feeling chipper. Lazing about looking for balloons sounds like a fine time. Enjoy the visit.

Paula I am amazed that you don't turn the tv on when you are alone. I lived alone until I was 41 and always had the tv or music on. But good on you for not. Bet you get a lot more done.

Our house cleaner will be back tomorrow following an 8 week absence. She will have plenty to do.....

Our Costco here is crazy too! I started doing online delivery orders for the non perishables we get. Delivery is free after a certain amount!

Yay for the return of the housekeeper!

A grilled grouper Reuben is really tasty - DH and I split them all the time. This is the first (and last) one I have had fried.

i hate huge stores too especially if they get crowded. The Walmart near where I used to live in Port Charlotte was a really good one but the one near where we live now is a mess - can't find anything.

Congratulations on the return of your housekeeper. I am sure she is glad to be mobile again too.
