120.4 - I had the hungry horrors yesterday. Likely because I was bored.
Other than the Justice walk in the morning, I stayed in all day. I didn't want to deal with the bandage on my back at the beach club. I guess if I want to go today, I could have DH remove it before he goes to golf. But I would have to be very careful what I lean on with it uncovered. I feel like I am stuck doing nothing right now. In that light, I cancelled yoga for today again because of the feet. The weird thing is that I can walk on them fine because the blisters are on the sides. It is only painful when the sides of my feet touch something (like lying on my back). I had to sleep with my legs on a pillow last night.
I did get my decorations for the Golf Event I am running last week made. The theme is Wicked so I bought witches hats and magic wands for the centerpieces. I put pink and green ribbon streamers on the magic wands.
No idea what I will do today while still in limbo. Perhaps I should soak my feet as suggested by Diane S. Have a philosophical Friday!

Hello! Back to my little apartment after 2 busy days.
Ugh Liz, I'm sorry about the blisters! What a pain literally. I'm glad to hear your group liked This Tender Land. It was very popular with our school staff. Diane your ladies lunch group does sound like a great find! CC, hope the information gathering party went well and you had a good time while learning what you need to do when hosting. Peps, subbing? Can't wait to hear. I was in a chat with some of my former co workers and they encouraged me NOT to sub at our school. Once again, new sped admin and everything is a mess. Paula, post pictures please of your booth when you get it set up. Great way to see if you want to continue with selling your art.
As you could see on Facebook, the trip to the mountain area was a lot of fun. I am really tired though. We decided to stay one more night with the brother who had the condo, and arrived back here around 1pm. It's a 2 hour drive. We have lots of plans for Saturday and Sunday, and we leave Monday afternoon. We decided, mostly me, that we will stay home tonight to recuperate and get going tomorrow. DH and I will go out to eat some sort of dinner, but not sure what yet. It will be someplace we can walk to.
It snowed and iced apparently in Minneapolis the last few days. It's going to be very sad to say goodbye to all of this and return to cold weather. There are some things we want to do with the house when we get back, so we will have some projects to keep us occupied. And I do want to see my Dad as soon as possible. DH is considering whether it's time for him to stop his part-time work. He thinks we'll be okay without the extra income, but he still liked the idea of planned physical activity and some of the social aspects. I suggested he drop down to 3 days a week. Whatever he decides, it is up to him. I obviously, am having no problem not working, but I don'****ch a lot of TV. One thing he's worried about is that he will get drawn into watching all the shows he likes during the day and get nothing done. I actually don't think he would, but again, it's up to him. Anyhow, it could be another big change for us.
Your trip went so fast! I'm sure even faster for you than us voyeurs. Trip of a lifetime, which you can potentially repeat!
DH will find his rhythm with work. My DH needs something to do and here it can be golf, super long walks, swimming, etc. If we were up north in the winter I think he might consider part-time work too (something totally different from his previous stressful jobs). As someone who worked for years 3 days a week, I think 2-3 days is a nice schedule. But as you say, it is DH's decision. And it depends on how busy you guys get in retirement. Sometimes being tied down to a schedule gets really annoying after being retired if you get busy with other stuff.

Greetings all
Mixed sun and clouds today. There might be an atmospheric river on the way so we shall see. I have become wimpy driving in bad rain - I used to be a snow road warrior and once drove to Denver in a 39 inch snow storm. Not anymore.
So I went to the gallery today to meet with our treasurer and sort out. I got most of the questions answered and the rest will just have to be. Quickbooks can be treacherous! Glad I don't have to do all that. Our treasurer is having a rough time personally because her adult son is not well so I want to make her life easier. While I was there we sold a $700 painting. Nice for that artist.
Wicked Liz!! Sounds like fun. You are good at decorations. I sure hope the blisters clear soon. Sounds like you need a good book to read until you can get out some. No fun being grounded.
DD we are all loving your adventures. What a great place to go in the winter. Yeah your DH should work fewer days. Why not? Sometimes I wish my DH had a part time job so he would get out of the house more. There is tons of stuff to do around here but he is not into cards or board games other old people stuff. And he hates Scrabble.
But DH did bring home Mexican food so yay for that. Another no cook day.
Peps report in on how the teaching day goes. DD interesting that your friends say not to sub.
Yes Paula send a picture of your display when set up. Right now my little ravens are just raw dry clay and it will be a few weeks before they are done.
Diane S.
Driving in rain, especially torrential rain is stressful and no need for it at this point in life.
Your DH may not play games (neither do I or my DH), but apparently he has a group of friends he regularly lunches with? So he has his social outlet in a different way.

118.something. Higher than yesterday I think.
More water aerobics this morning then I had a dermaplane and hydro facial.
DH and I went out for sushi for dinner. No cook night for me too!
I think I have most everything ready for setting up my vendor booth except for putting price tags on everything. I saw on the store owner?s business Facebook page that they are having a store wide 20% off sale! I wonder how often that happens and if the sales are ever over 20%. I?m already selling my stuff at about 50% less than what I sold it for at art fairs (very different clientele I know) but they take a 14% cut so I?m not sure how comfortable I am with them having store wide sales where I can't control how often or how much. More questions to ask when I sign the contract tomorrow.
I never thought about the impact of sales on individual owners in a gallery like that. Interesting that you had to cut prices here. The artist we bought our painting from for over our fireplace was originally from Boston. Even though our community is relatively affluent, she said she had to lower her prices here compared to Boston. That was somewhat offset for her by a lower cost for gallery presence and eliminating studio rental space (she paints at home here ).
