119.4 - unchanged. 33 degrees at 7 am this morning - colder. But it is supposed to reach 70 by early afternoon, then this cold spell will be over. DH got up at 6 am because he has golf this morning, then got an email saying that the start of it is delayed by 45 minutes.

I hope our DD finally got home! She and her DH must be exhausted, but what a trip they had!

My DD arrived at 10 last night instead of 7:30. Apparently so many planes were trying to catch up on flights cancelled the prior day that they didn't have enough gates to handle them at Westchester airport. Anyway, there was no going out to dinner or getting takeout because where we live the latest any kitchen is open is 9:30 and even pizza takeout ends at 8:30. So I cooked an easy bolognese which actually didn't take long and tasted really good with one of those prepackaged salads. Didn't get to bed until midnight though and sleep was rather elusive at first.

Cape Cod is still mostly out of power with tons of special crews working on it. Getting worried about DH's home because the pipes may freeze with the power out for a long time and there is no one there to shut off the water. The electric company sent a notice that it was targeted to be back on at midnight this past night but it is still out. The other concern is that someone will need to shovel a pathway for oil delivery if that is supposed to happen soon.

Plans for today are a Justice walk, probably the Beach Club for lunch then a mother/daughter dinner out this evening. Oh and a bocce game for DH and I sandwiched in between. Last game of the season.

Have a Warm Wednesday!

Greetings all

Not much going on here. It is overcast but the rain has stopped. The house is getting cleaned and I am lazing about. The afternoon will be busy as studio buddy needs computer help/therapy and I have to take Tesla to the vet. Poppy is in love with our house cleaner and follows her around. Tesla is more cir****pect.

Liz so glad your DD got in safely but it is not surprising that it is late. Awful news every day about flight delays. It would be big news if a flight in the east was on time! Anyway good on you for whipping up a meal. Enjoy the beach club and bocce.

Not sure what is for dinner tonight. Chinese take out is appealing. Maybe I can do a drive by after the vet visit.

Welcome home DD. Rest up and let us hear about your return adventures.

CC still warm there? Yay enjoy.

We watched the State of the Union last night plus all the comentary before and after. Jeez went on forever!! Had enough of that.

No State of the Union watching for me. I just can't stomach the bubbling idiot! (Did I just say that online?)

Hopefully your studio buddy got her computer issues solved, your DH must be a saint with a lot of patience!

Very warm! And the critters are coming out far too early. There was a roach in my house tonight! Common here, but I can't shake the association with "dirty" even though it's a common AZ thing. Good lord. Disgusting. I put out a ton of sticky traps that I usually don't have out during winter. Yuck.

Yes, roaches definitely can bring out the cringe feeling. It seems like there are a lot of creatures in Arizona that can do that in one way or another though...

I try to find ways to be out of the house when the cleaners are here. I feel like I am always in the way.

201.0 down a few tenths, but big whoop...

Hope DD is safely back in Minnesota!

Back at school today for my band teacher colleague's emergency dental needs. Gotta be a friend in such situations. I've been requested for next week, too. Looks like it'll be pretty easy to make some pocket money subbing for my friends, if I feel like it. I think I will take the job for next Tuesday. What the hell? Gives me something to do other than puttering around the house and trimming dogs and working out.

Trainer kind of pushed me about body goals on Monday. She thinks I'm looking "little", but cut. She was pushing because she wants to design workouts to support my goals and she is getting conflicting messages from me. So, of course, me being me, chewed on that for most of yesterday. I have to admit that I want to be small. What large bodied person doesn't want to be small after being obese for so many years? Yes, I want to be muscular, but I prefer the leaner look on me rather than the bulky look. That means fat loss and keeping muscles as they are. I don't even know how to equate that to a number on the scale, so I'm not going to try, but I also have a number in my head - 188. But honestly, I've been toying with 181 because that would make it an even 100 pounds down after starting tirzepatide. Then that leads to having to look at what is realistic, what is body dysmorphia talking and what is eating disorder thinking and what is rose colored glasses thinking? It's this kind of stuff that makes the "journey" hard for me. Sometimes I think it was easier to focus on the scale, instead of all the psychological stuff that comes with becoming obese.

Enough of that!

After school I have more trimming on Buster, have to trim Aunty Kathryn's dog and get to the gym. Luckily it's a choir practice day for Ron, so I won't have to worry about getting something together for dinner. I'll probably just make some scrambled eggs for myself and call it done.

Winning Wednesday!

As long as you enjoy the subbing why not? A former neighbor/friend of mine has been doing it for years. She enjoys her days with the kids.

DH struggles with what weight he can reasonably maintain at and where he thinks he should be. He spent his whole life thinking he was chubby, then "fat", though if you look at the pictures of him when he was young he was pretty average looking. Never slim but I wouldn't have said chubby. But I guess because he never had that skinny stage that a lot of teenagers have during and just after their big growth phase he felt like the chubby guy. He seems to be maintaining pretty well in the mid 180s (at 5' 9") by eating more or less healthy, working out at the gym daily, and doing our daily walks. He doesn't work out as much as you but he does do some weight work along with a lot of cardio. When he tries to cut down on his food too much he starts getting huge cravings. He doesn't want to take anything to help with that so he just struggles with them and gives in periodically. If there is a bag of chips or pretzels in the house they are gone in one sitting.

118.4

Temps were warm enough for water aerobics and it felt good after 3 days off!

Went to my vendor booth to put up a few

pricing signs I forgot about and saw at least 3 items gone, so I am hoping that means sales. I'm supposed to get a sales report email at the end of the day but didn't today, so I will have to text the manager tomorrow and see if there were sales or not.

Bible study prep today for tomorrow's call in study. I missed the last two weeks!

Liz, hope the daughter/mom dinner was enjoyable as well as the beach club lunch.

Peps, try not to get too hung up on the numbers. You look great and feel great now but only you know where your happy place is! Have fun back in the classroom!
