Sounds like you have a lot of good stuff on the agenda. I need to make some ratatouille too! I agree that it tastes even better if it sits for a while.

That is pretty awful. I'm glad he is out of that relationship. Tough on the kids though.

We are having the most marvelous stretch of fall weather and it looks like it will continue into next week. How wonderful to have the time to enjoy it. There is not a lot on todays' schedule. There's a bit of gardening I can do. Some hanging pots are truly done for the year, so I can work them into the compost bin. Yesterday I pulled almost a bag of leaves off my front flower bed. The impatients are still blooming, so I thought I'd give them a chance to keep going. I think by the 2nd week of October, they'll be done, but I can still enjoy them next week. And I have some houseplants on the porch that need to be repotted before they can come back inside. The repotting will probably wait until Monday, because I need to get a few more supplies.
The ratatouille is cooked, and is sitting in the fridge "blending". I think it tastes better the longer it sits. This year I saved some glass jars for freezing the leftovers. It just makes sense to me if I went to the trouble of buying so many fresh ingredients, it shouldn't be stored longterm in plastic.
Tomorrow the Vikings play at 8:30am in Dublin against the Steelers. DH's sister and her husband are in Ireland right now for the game. Sadly, she is cheering for the wrong team, as her husband is a diehard Steelers fan. DH will definitely be watching at 8:30am. After that, we will probably go downtown to the Guthrie to renew our season tickets in person. Monday is Irish coffee day, and we will drop some things off at St. Vincent's de PauL thrift shop.
One of the tasks for today is for the two of us to sit down together and shop for flights to Brazil. We need to discuss the pros and cons and what would be the biggest bang for our frequent flyer points etc. A very exciting task. And this evening we are having a bonfire with BFF and her family.
No downward tic today on the scale, but the recent losses are holding.
Yes, that was a big part of it. She was having online affairs, because "she needed something for herself" and they involved explicit texting. She decided she needed to meet up with one of them in person. So sordid, so ugly. I always thought she was a difficult partner for him to deal with, but I thought she was a decent mother. She is not. I understand that sometimes couples can't stay together and divorce happens, but there are decent ways to leave without further traumatizing your children.

Yesterday was spent going to several furniture stores looking for a round accent table to use in place of the old table I have in the living room. It just doesn't work with the furniture as I had hoped it would. But I can't seem to find anything that seems right to me. Frustrating.
Today we walk, then water aerobics, then hopefully the reglazing of the bathtub gets done. I have no idea how long that will take so no plans for the rest of the day. Nor have we thought about dinner too much. I do have stuff to make a new recipe if I feel like cooking.
Hoping we hear positive stuff from Paula about the offer today!
Have a succulent Saturday!

I would hate having to be the person who had to chase for the dues. DH started his working career chasing companies for money owed. I don't think I could do it.
I just looked up the winery. It sure is beautiful and a lovely setting for weddings!

Sounds like your parent visit wasn't as difficult as it sometimes can be.
What is this "online affair partner"? Is it literally that and is that why they broke up?
Eating mindfully is more than half the battle I think.

No blood thinner. I did wear compression on the plane and wear compression shorts. And yes, probably related to surgery and relative inactivity.
When we were in the Finger Lakes area I was disappointed by how quickly wine made me sluggish. I wanted to go to so many wineries because they are indeed beautiful, but no, I was done with wine after two. I hope you have a nice time tomorrow at your local winery. Sounds very nice. PS I am unlikely to stand in line for oysters, I do not understand the appeal. Perhaps I am a Philistine.
Greetings all
Super sunny day here. September is one of the sunniest months here as there is less fog due to less extreme temperatures inland. A fine day indeed. I spent the morning doing gallery banking and following up on member dues. I have to notify people if they are over or underpaid. 26 people and 26 different stories, excuses, arguments and emails. Mostly sorted. Our treasurer is out of town due to family medical emergency so there will be more for me to do plus deposits. Artists are indeed a herd of cats.
Hey Paula gl on the house offer. And yikes on being in the ER. What would cause those clots? Take care of yourself. It is a small victory to stop tracking and still do ok with food and weight. Yay.
DD sigh of relief that your parental visit was not too terrible. Sure is hard to get older people to accept help. Not sure why but one of these days it will be me and I guess I will find out. Meanwhile enjoy your "saturdays"!! And rattatouie is good hot or cold. Nice.
Liz glad Justice is doing well. Yay for beach.
So I did my gym visit. Fooling around with messed up Apple music passed the time.
DH brought home fish and chips from the romeo lunch. So that is on the menu.
Tomorrow is the art and wine festival at the local winery. More like the "wait in line to get oysters" festival. No wine for me as I just get too sluggish if I drink in the day. But this winery is in a really beautiful and quaint place with a pond and redwoods and gardens. Look uo Fieldbrook Winery.
Peace all.
