118.4 - still unchanged. Like Paula I have felt snacky this week, but I am just going to stick with my usual eating routine and hopefully it will stay flat.
Yesterday went well except we went to a golf rules seminar at the clubhouse at 3. Within an hour my eyes were rolling back in my head and all the rules were mixed up with the too excruciating detail provided on them. Thank goodness I don't ever plan to compete. What was worse is that 2 hours in, at about 5, he asked if we wanted a break and said we had another hour worth of material. More than 2/3rds of the participants left (including me). We all looked completely overwhelmed. DH stayed, but it ended 1/2 hour later when a friend of ours fainted, fell to the floor, and they had to call an ambulance. DH said he looked ok by the time the EMTs arrived so hopefully it was dehydration which he passed out from once before. But he did just have some major surgery a couple of weeks ago so very concerning.
Today we are driving down to Fort Lauderdale to see DSS and DIL who are here from Poland for a week. We are going to stop in Jensen Beach along the way and poke around as I have never been there. I need to get packed! It is a challenge because we have a very brisk North wind which makes it feel much cooler than usual. So I have to pick clothing that will work with warm or cool temperatures. What a pain.
But first a Justice walk before we drop him off at his doggy boarding/daycare place for a day. have a talkative Tuesday!

Decorating a new place is so much fun! I am still doing it in small waves here after 2.5 years LOL. Be prepared to visit Home Depot a lot too.
That is frustrating, trying to get an appointment with a electrophysiologist. I have been lucky here where there seems to be a plethora of providers, but when I was in Port Charlotte people complained about how difficult it was to access health providers. I think you are going to have a clubhouse and activities? The people you meet there may be your best source of information on providers, though the timing won't help with your current need (and that specialty sounds like there wouldn't be many of them?). DH sees a cardiologist who has him meet with a person about his pacemaker periodically. Is that person a electrophysiologist?

Do I like golf? Hmm, good question. I like being outside on a beautiful day with good people and I like driving the cart around. I like when I can hit the ball and it somewhat goes where I want, but don't like the pressure of trying to improve my handicap. I might enjoy it more if I didn't keep score LOL.

I am thinking of doing the Harry Potter stuff at Universal with DS when he comes in January. I have only been once when it first opened and didn't see a lot because that was the day we lost deceased DH and had to search all over the park for him. Both DS and I loved the Harry Potter books (and he loves all the movies though I like the earlier ones best).

DB is probably correct, but it doesn't always help to be able to see that. Congestive heart failure is serious (as you know). My mother passed away from it ultimately. I was lucky that she had all her faculties and would accept care with grace.

A lot of money for something you won't use unless you have a major illness/accident. But if that happens you need it. I can see why some people are going to forgo having insurance. My son would have a tough time if he wasn't getting it through work but even though that helps with affordability, he still has a very large deductible as well.

The new providers thing does sound daunting! I really like my oncologist, PCP, weight loss surgery clinic, and my dentist. And of course my niece who is my hair stylist. The eltectrophysiologist seems super important. Hopefully they reserve/ hold back some appointments for onboarding new patients so that you could get seen shortly after they review your records.
123.5, up again! Grrrrr! Might have to up my dose! Snacking abounds!
I hate how dark it is so early. Not sure why we have to do daylight savings time! Makes me just want to go to bed and stay there!
I've been window shopping online for all the things I want to buy for new house! The delivery trucks are going to be busy once we get there!
Hair cut today. Last one with my hairdresser. I hate to think of finding all new providers from hair to physicians and vets and groomers! I've been trying to make an appointment with an electrophysiologist (doctor that specializes in heart rhythms and will manage my defibrillator) but getting into see one is like getting into Fort Knox. They are refusing to make an appointment for me until they review my referral which was sent October 21. They are already booking out to sometime in 2026 and I will need a download of my defibrillator read in December and need to be set up with a local device clinic to where the downloads are sent. In a pinch I can have my guy here read the download but if there is an issue, he can't help me out from WI while I'm in FL! Grrrr again!
The weather here is cold! Yuck!
Could be. Also might have been Major Medical but these days all medical is major. No cheap trips to the ER. ds
Is the type of insurance you're thinking about called Catastrophic Insurance? You can still buy it in Minnesota, but I think it's been limited in some ways by the ACA rules.
