125.4. Well deserved uptick due to beers and fried bar food yesterday! Still in the lower end of my range so all is good!

Weather in WI has sucked. Cold and rainy today. Nothing even resembling summer. It is making me grumpy!

DH and I got some plants to replace ones we lost. We wanted to put in Hostas but couldn?t find 4 matching ones so we went with a purple colored bush. We don?t want to spend too much since we plan on selling the house next year. Let the new owner?s make it their own. We are trying to fill a big 8 foot circle that has the stone curb surround around it. Putting in the curb surround killed off the Autumn Blaze Maple that was there and pulling out the stump killed off the hostas that were around the tree! I think a water feature or bird bath would look nice in the middle of the circle but again, we will let the new owners decide what to add. For now we will settle with putting in 4 bushes and having metal cranes (the birds) in the middle.

Sleep should help put it in perspective too.

I'm glad you got there and got some rest. You should be all ready to go tomorrow.

DH hasn't weighed since we left Florida on 5/25 - he plans to next week when we get home from here. Long time not knowing!

I am so.tired. Insomnia last night worrying about how my parents will make this project as impossible as they can while insisting they want it and also wrapping things up at school. Turns out the things I need to do aren't taking so long. Example: my desk is now cleaned out. Everything I'm going to grade is now entered in the gradebook. I'm in great shape. Worries about my parents shenanigans are receding for now, and I'm able to compartmentalize again. Time for a nap, and then later, some protein something or other.

Is Crack an Egg something you buy prepared and then just add an egg or is it made from scratch?

ETA: I just looked it up - never heard of these before!

Always a challenge how to deal with jet lag. When we get to Glasgow it will be 2am our time, 9am their time. We are probably going to have to stay up, because its unlikely our room would be available. Sounds like you are doing it right! Much to see.

I like the crack an egg, but with 2 eggs, good idea!

Hello from Amsterdam! I posted some pics on TT. Got in the hotel room here about noon (3 am west coast time). We slept for about 5 hours. Got up and had dinner with brother and walked around the canal district. I'm feeling ready for sleep already....

No weighing for me until June 26!!!! Yikes! That sure feels weird. Liberating, but weird.

Tomorrow is a walking tour, a canal tour and then later in the (6 pm) we have tickets to teh Anne Frank House Museum. We picked a Tapas place for lunch tomorrow, too!

Tschuss!

Greetings all

Overcast now but I predict sun later. I will be heading to the studio to pick up new stuff and move things along and then head to the gallery for delivery. Probably a quick grocery stop somewhere. Not sure if I will get the gym in.

So the studio tour was fun. First stop was in a small town a few miles away. This ceramic artist has a salt kiln and we were eager to see it. Nice one. I bought a mug and admired the roses planted there. They are on steroids! Next stop was a blacksmith shop. Very interesting to see the process and learn about how it is done. These people really didn't have anything for sale so I guess they were just open for fun. Third stop was a stained glass studio of a friend. My co pilot kept insisting the map was upside down (not) but it indeed did not label an access road. I was forced to use the gps on the phone. Car has all that but I can't work it. So the phone gps said we were 400 feet away from the spot. Stuff out here is super rural and this place is in sand dunes near the ocean. Streets are unmarked. Anyway we got there fine in spite of Miss Upsidedown Map. After that we went to a brewery for lunch and I got shrimp tacos. Enough for dinner. This place has great food. It was a good day and fun.

CC hope the repairs today go well and you can rest a bit. Yep age catches up. Some days I really feel like I should have a cane such as yesterday when much walking was on uneven ground. Speaking of aches, has anyone tried that mushroom coffee Rhyze or something like that. It claims to reduce inflammation, eliminate anxiety, fix gut issues and a host of other things. Sounds too good to be true but they sure are heavy on the advertising.

Liz our dogs also seek sun. They will find a tiny square of sun from the sky lights and occupy it. They love to bask on the deck. Enjoy the worthy Mexican restaurant. Tacos are a new obsession.

Greenland Peps? See any precious minerals?

I made a Crack an Egg today only I put two eggs in it. Worked great. Cooked a few extra seconds.

So DD is this indeed the first day of the rest of your life!!

Wait until you are over 70. Your mind says you feel just the same as always until you try to get up off the floor!
