Blitz seems better, but I worry because he still has unformed bowel movements. It's no****er anymore though. The appointment is at 8:15. My plan was to be on the road by 6 am. I still haven't decided if I should delay departure or if I should let Ron do it. I'm leaning towards letting Ron take him.

Yes it is called reglazing. My handyman said his sister did it and it looks phenomenal. I read that if done right it will hold up pretty well. Apparently it can fix where the old tub has gotten marred as well. We don't even use our tub so I'm not that concerned about that aspect.

I hate the darkness! One of the things I like about Florida is that there is an additional hour of light compared to Massachusetts.

Not surprised you didn't gain - it seems like snacking is the worst thing because our VSGs keep us from eating too much at one sitting.

I'm very curious about the tub painting. I think my tub needs to be reglazed. Is that a thing? At least I think it is.

It's foggy here this morning. Overcast through Wednesday, then there is a beautiful stretch of weather forecasted of high 70s and sunny. Not much color change yet, but the sun is setting much earlier than when I left. Saturday will be the last day the sun sets at 7pm until next spring. By the end of October, the sun will be setting around 5:30pm, and then when we fall back, it will be around 4:30 pm. Hello darkness, my old friend.

Big news, I did NOT gain any weight on this trip! Perhaps actually lost 1-2 pounds. I ate pretty freely, but I didn't do a lot of snacking. And I was pretty active most days. But I'll take it.

The next task today is to go buy some groceries. I'll go through the cupboards quickly to see what's still here. Most of what's in the fridge (very little) probably needs to be tossed at this point. It's reset time. I'm only going to get a few things when I shop though, because I feel like the nearby grocery store is more expensive than some other stores. I'd like to figure out a plan for buying more staples elsewhere. For example, their store brand can of black beans is $1.40, and at Aldi's it is $0.75. That can add up. Now I have the time to chase some bargains.

Paula I did not know they have Culver's in Florida. That's where we had dinner last night when we got home. Always the superior fast food choice if you need a quick meal. We drive past the original Culver's on our way to DS's home when visiting Midland/Madison.

I got home last night, and the texts from my parents have started up this morning. I will give them credit for not texting me a lot while I was away. Oh boy. Unsolvable problems. I will try to keep my zen.

Well off to get a few sundries and some more unpacking.

117.2

The painted cabinet doors in the bathroom look great! Looks like a brand new vanity. I wish I could paint the one in the other bathroom but alas it is some sort of laminate. Not terrible but not in keeping with the cabinets in the master bathroom and kitchen.

Today, I have the counter guy coming for an estimate on polishing them and tomorrow is the bathtub painting.

And today, DH arrives at 3! Very much looking forward to seeing him. We have a kick-off bocce meeting with our team at 5 at our condo but that shouldn't last too long. The first game is tomorrow at 4.

But first is the usual Justice walk. Have a titanic Tuesday!

Any improvement for Blitz with the new diet? Will Ron go to the appointment if you can't make it or is it early enough to manage it with your trip schedule?

Yo!

Back down to 205.something today. No weight yesterday as I was in a rush to get the heck out of the house.

Today has been a low appetite day. I'll take it.

Nice to hear from Ocean Diane. Have a great time in Portugal.

I took Bug to her new home today. She seems quite happy. I got a report that she already jumped into the shower with her new dad! LOL. While I know she'll be fine, it was still hard to go through with placing her in a new home. She's such a little love bug!

Blitz has an ultra sound scheduled on Thursday. Of course, the day I'm supposed to leave for the east coast.

Not much else today.

Ciao!

I didn't know Culver's was from Wisconsin. Lots of them here in Florida.

There are tons of golf courses in Florida. It seems like a lot of people choose their house first, then figure out what they want to do about golf afterwards. We have a club here in our community but there are people who live nearby who have chosen to do golf elsewhere and vice versa.

Greetings all

More sun today. Sort of energizing. I skipped the gym and went to the studio and did some glazing. There was actually a person in the glass studio for awhile. I picked up new stuff from the kiln and then went up to the gallery to deliver it and do some banking. The tourist season is winding down and our sales will taper off soon.

Liz we want to see your bathtub pictures and are eager to see how the painting works. Nice to have your home the way you want it.

And speaking of homes, sounds like you have some good options Paula. Not sure how the club stuff works but sounds good. I have never had a brand new house so that might be a fun adventure. Tee hee lunch at Culvers!

Good to hear from you Ocean Diane. We will hold you to your promise to post more. Your trio sounds fabulous. Must look at the Azores. Glad all is going well for you.

I just had a snack of a slice of ham and a slice of swiss cheese. A fine snack. Who needs bread.

DD welcome home. Enjoy some slow days. Christmas in NYC!! Shows??!! I am with you - way too soon for homecoming.

More beef barley soup tonight. The end of the pot roast is near.....

No weight while we are in FL.

Liked 2 of the properties we saw today but learned that the golf memberships available are only temporary until the golf community gets fully built and can sustain itself and because the golf communities are very new, they don't have many resale choices at all, just new builds.

3 more houses to check out tomorrow!

Funny that dinner today was at a Wisconsin burger/frozen custard chain called Culver's that has infiltrated this area. Our realtor treated us to a bigger than normal lunch for us so we didn't want a big dinner. They had a film crew in Culver's and it ended up being the Discover Wisconsin crew doing a story on how Culver's has expanded to FL.
