118.4 - the same as yesterday but not terrible. I had my current version of the hungry horrors last night and made a cottage cheese/spaghetti sauce concoction to curb it (it worked).
DH and I played golf yesterday morning. I started out terrible but then settled into doing okay. If I could just relax I would probably do better. After that we went to the Beach Club to watch the Patriots. Lots of New England people there watching so it was on 3 big screens. Very enjoyable company!
Interestingly there was a very large group of ladies I am friendly with having lunch and sitting at the beach afterwards. Nice camaraderie but I realized that they rarely do activities like that with their spouses. On the weekends their husbands golf and the ladies either golf separately or go to the beach as a group. Maybe it is those of us with more recently developed relationships who do a lot as a couple?
Today is the usual Justice walk, water aerobics, and a golf rules session at 3. So many rules that go with golf! I envision a bunch of old, retired guys with too much time on their hands coming up with them many years ago thinking it would enhance the game. They do well at these sessions showing practical examples of when they apply. But way too many of them to remember!
Have a mostly modern Monday!

DSD must be compensating for some loss in her life. Though it may be irritating that you likely need to put a shower head back in the bathroom (LOL that she took that too), at least you know that she values her relationship with you since she feels the need to retain whatever she can.
I am really happy to be in the warmth especially now that the rainy/muggies are mostly done for the year. Soon you will be too.

I'm glad you get to have some enjoyable visits with friends in the midst of the stress over your parents. As CC points out you are truly a saint.
And yes, I was always a prime candidate for osteoporosis. My mother broke her hip in her early 60's and had to use a cane the rest of her life. My grandmother broke hers in her 90's. I have been osteopenia for at least 10 years and never took any hormone supplements after I reached menopause 23 years ago.

It will be interesting to see how Justice does with Josie. She will be smaller than him at least at first but will naturally have that puppy energy. I predict he will be giving the "I do NOT want to play" warning growl.

I agree with you on the older kids still honoring Halloween! Why not hold onto those rites of childhood? And btw, have you noticed how many adults also get dressed up?

What a sad state health insurance is in (apparently even sadder in Arizona)! I didn't realize that it differed so much state by state. I do know that my son's healthcare plan through his job has an extremely high annual deductible. I used to have a high deductible when i was working but not as high as his. I am lucky to be able to have a good Medicare/supplemental plan for reasonable cost, but some are struggling in Massachusetts where several of the most popular Advantage plans were eliminated and people are struggling to find coverage that works for them at a reasonable cost. Something definitely needs to be done to address this issue in the United States.

Good time to leave! I thought maybe the chill wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't have to get up in the dark and go out regardless of whether I wanted to. Plot twist: it's bothering me!
122.6, like Liz I'm up and it never feels good even when I'm in range. Stupid numbers!
DSD and SIL have cleared the house of all of her stuff (and some of ours). She definitely has some possession anxiety. Took everything last thing from her room (furniture, tv, bedding and even the curtains on the window). We were quite surprised when she took the shower head from the bathroom she used when she lived here for one summer before returning to school (and during visits). I think we would have freely given her anything she wanted to take but asking for it would have been nice vs. just assuming it was hers to take just because it was in her room or in "her" shared bathroom. She is a bit of a hoarder and needed 2 large storage units for all their crap!
Packed up my computer and printers today! Neither of the printers were working due to one ink cartridge being out of ink and the extra inks had already been packed up at least a week ago. We still have a laptop to use if we need something bigger than our phones.
Sure feels like winter is a coming here in WI! Very cool and blustery today.

I don't think I can say this enough - you are a good daughter! With the patience of a saint...
