Welcome home, Liz! I bet it feels GREAT to know you are staying put for a good two months! I know when I got back from my last road trip I was feeling traveled out and was so glad to know I had no extended road trips in the near future.

204.0 today. Feeling good about that. Yesterday was shot day. I will talk with the NUT today about a concerted effort to get below 200. My dip into 199 land only lasted a day or two. I am beginning to accept that it's not only about the number, but I still feel a bit too thick or "fat" between my groin and arm pits. My shoulders and upper back look great and are showing definition. I would like the torso and lower back areas to match. The only way to do that is to lose some more fat. Feeling as I do, it's a bit of a mind f*ck. On one hand I'm really happy with how much progress I've made, my fitness and mobility levels, and generally how I appear overall. I've done a lot of work. But I still think I "could do better" - that I have the potential to create an even better self. At least I don't want to be a 25 year old underwear model any more! LOL!

I did some heavy cleaning yesterday and finished the day off with a nice partner workout with my trainer. It's always fun when I get to choreograph our workouts. It's a *****allenging because she'll ask me my rationale for choosing a specific move and which muscles I want to target, etc... Anyway.... clean house, good workout, and a stress free day overall.... Some days that combination feels like perfection!

One wee****il Halloween! I feel so out of it, not being at school! I miss the student anticipation of the day. Next week the kids will be so excited. I miss that energy, so perhaps a school visit is finally in order!

Fun Friday!

117.4 - down .4 from the day we left. I felt I was stable and I was. So weird to not monitor and yet stay the same. Justice lost .8 at his boarding place. He did run around a lot and probably didn't eat all his food (I watched him on cams). He was out in the yard when we arrived to pick him up and he got so excited he jumped over the back of a larger dog to get to me. He was a very close sleeping little boy last night and is right next to me this morning.

Nice to be home, though it was a good visit. Sedona is so beautiful! And the wedding was wonderful. But how nice to be back here on the lanai drinking my usual coffee and looking out at the marina. DH commented that the beauty that wowed us in Sedona must start to feel like our Marina to the folks who look out at it every day. We love our water view but do get somewhat used to it. CC?

The travel both to and from Phoenix was smooth and on-time, but we are glad we can stay put at least until Christmas time. We did book our Christmas flights and will be in Massachusetts 12/16-12/29. That's a long time but the dates were based on availability for Justice and cost (the after Christmas flights closer to the 25th were incredibly expensive).

Today we will do a Justice walk, go to yoga, and I have the 1st of 3 appointments for laser treatment on my face this afternoon. I'm not sure what we will do for dinner or if we will go to Friday Happy Hour. It will be a busy one as many people are here at least for this weekend because there is a big golf competition today and tomorrow.

Have a fun-filled Friday!

That's what I would expect a studio to look like! If it was all orderly wouldn't you have to wonder about the artistic side vs obsessive side of the owner LOL.

Paper piles used to be my problem when I was working and I had kids in school. Between the mail and the flyers from the school it would get out of control. I would try to corral it in baskets sometimes but the stacks would still grow. I tend to be obsessive (vs artistic) about getting rid of excess paper right away these days so that doesn't happen though I do have a basket worth in the kitchen...

I think we all feel the same about ups vs downs on the scale even if bouncing up within a healthy range. Comes from years of mostly seeing ups. I tell DH that it is why it is healthy to weigh daily because you get used to seeing them - but not completely as you point out.

Darn RV! Similar to the broken taillight on our loaner car. You have to fix it even though you didn't cause it. You have to wonder how heavy the person was who broke it.

Wanna see what my studio looks like? Here is a pic. Our home has a similar theme.

Greetings all

More sun no doubt stolen from other parts of the nation. It is great. We still have loads of pansies and petunias though the sweet peas are done. I resolved not to leave the house today and instead am quarantined until I do some of the major picking up work needed for Halloween. There are boxes of stuff still not sorted from when we changed out the floor 3 years ago plus the never ending piles of junk. So some of it is now put away and I have started the endless dog blanket laundry. Stacks of paper which I am sure are 90% trash. Lordy it is a curse to be a pack rat but two in one house is beyond disaster.

I noticed a house for sale on Facebook that was highly appealing. It was a one story about the same size as our home plus it had an attached MIL unit. I have always thought that would be a great thing to have so DH could have his own junk space. He actually has that now but it is full. Anyway I doubt I will even look at it but fun to dream. It is in kind of an out of the way spot anyway.

You may about be home by now Liz. Hope it all goes well and that Justice is thrilled to see you. You have earned down time.

And you have earned down time Peps. Isn't it grand to have a day with no commitments so you can putter and catch up on chores. On an as needed basis or as-I -feel-like-it basis. I bet those couple of Runza pounds drop quickly.

Well no other direction but onward. Guest list for Halloween is shaping up as are the plans. Next stop: sofa in front of tv with large pile of papers and recycle bin.

Chicken tenders for tonight. Maybe a few new potatoes. I had hoped to harvest chives but dogs or snails seem to have eaten them.

204.5 - my brain is obviously programmed to delight when there is movement downward on the scale! Even though I KNOW daily fluctuations are normal, my dysfunctional thinking and eating disorder brain absolutely despise upward ticks on the scale. I have been in the same five pound range for months, wearing the same size clothes, etc... That's maintenance. That's good, but this range is above my desired goal. I think like DD, I am starting to consider just being where I am and enjoying life. However, I'm on the full dose of tirzepatide and am not sure I'm ready to lower that dose. Things to consider...

I do know that I do want to be established below 200 before my surgery. BTW, Paula, it's neck and jowls first. Body work will come the following year - if I figure out where I want to be weight and body wise.

Diane S must have stolen our weather yesterday. It was cloudy, breezy, and fall like here. We did get a sun on and off, but during the morning hours I thought it might rain. Today is beautifully blue, but a *****illy - in the upper 50s.

I have a day with nothing on the calendar - DELIGHTFUL! I plan on housework, dog work, a dad visit and a workout. I also have to adult and do some money stuff, which I HATE!

Oh, and the steps on my RV broke during a showing. So I can either go pick it up and try to sell it myself or have it fixed which will be around $700. Oh, joy! I'm having it fixed, of course, but shee****hat wonderful toy is becoming my a money pit. BOOOOOO!

Thriving Therapeutic Thursday to all!

Last day with no weight numbers. I don't think there will be any damage but we shall see.

We got the car returned and to the hotel without difficulty, then ate dinner here. Pretty good food. We were in bed by 8 (11 eastern time) and I woke up at 3 this morning (6 eastern time). So I am more or less back on my normal time schedule. DH is still asleep at 3:30.

Our flight is at 8:25 and hopefully all goes on schedule so we can pick up Justice. We are due in at 3:25, have to get our luggage and drive almost 1.5 hours to pick up Justice before 6 pm. Doable but tight. Cross your fingers!

Have a thriving Thursday!

All the stuff related to home sale and purchase is nerve wracking until it is all complete. When I was buying my first place in Florida the mortgage officer was delaying because he wanted documentation of the community being an over 55 community. But it wasn't. Turned out the appraiser wrote that it was in the appraisal based on an assumption. The mortgage officer wouldn't approve the mortgage until the appraiser reissued the appraisal with that reference deleted.
