"Dr Alexander is a quiet man at first but he is very good at answering your questions. The office staff has its good and not so good days. After talking to patients that had their surgery over a year ago it sounds like there have been many improvements both to before and after care. The nutritional class prior to surgery was very beneficial and the dieticians are there for your questions within 24 hours. He emphasizes exercise is important after surgery and there is a support group at the hospital the first Tues. of the month at 6:30 pm. You are given a lot of material to read prior to your visit so you can formulate questions. He is very patient with all the questions. I would highly recommend Dr Alexander to anyone seeking the RNY procedure because surgical competence certainly out weights bedside manner or how cute and personable the physician can be.
