Kim, 25 pounds in 6 weeks is more than average! A lot of people average 20 pounds in 4 wees, so it sounds like you're right on track. Really, could you have lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks on your own before? I think you're expecting way, way too much. Also people that start out at a lower weight like yourself, lose not as much; you are comparing your self to people who start out out 300 pounds plus, not 248 like you. You are fortune because in one year, you'll be way slimmer than most of us who started out at 300 plus. Lighten up, and good luck

Kim sweetie, don't be so hard on yourself by comparing you loss to others. Everyone looses at a different rate. I've read that people who loose more slowly don't get as much sagging skin so that has to be a positive note. Make sure you're getting 50 to 60gms of protein daily, increase your water and try to get some exercise even if it's just taking short walks. Here's a cyber (((HUG))) for ya.

Hi Kim, I'm not far ahead of you. I had my RNY on 5/29. Yes, my left side is still sore too. But every day does get better. Today I was actually able to bend down and pick something up. Now THAT was a major accomplishment! I'm guessing maybe some muscles were cut? Hang in there, day by day it does improve. Linda
