A great good morning to everyone from sunny Alaska. I am now 2 weeks and 2 days post-op from Lap RNY, and feeling great. I am actually back to work today for a full 8 hours and plan to work all week, full speed ahead! I had a very relaxing 2 weeks off and did some good healing with the help of my DH who had Open RNY last March, so he was a very good nursemaid. I think I may do better with getting my water in here at work than I did at home. That seems to be the big challenge for me--getting the water in. A big thank-you to all who signed my surgery page. It was so uplifting to see all messages. My DH printed it out and brought it to me in the hospital. I wasn't focusing too well from the morphine and anaesthesia, but I could make out the good wishes just fine. I had surgery on Friday 8/29 and was home on Sunday 8/31. And now back to work on Monday 9/15. Life is good! Although I must admit that I really could get used to staying at home for awhile!
