First week post op

Apr 24, 2009

ok that was an experience! Even though I had asked anybody that I could get in touch with, read everything I could get my hands on, it still was quite an experience watching the weight melt away. It's like so many people have said, I just don't feel hungry. My husband brings me my broth and jello, keeps my water iced and handy, and if it weren't for him I would probably forget to eat anything. I told him that I can get up and fix stuff myself so he lets me putter in the kitchen making the broth and now that I'm adding the soft food fixing the things that I want to start trying.

It was exciting to get on the scale this morning and show a 11 lb loss from what I weighed in before the surgery. My clothes fit so much different but am keeping the bigger pants because they aren't so tight around my still tender middle. I am going thru my clothes to figure out which ones I want to get rid of and which ones I can alter. I still have quite a few really nice business type clothes that are practly new because I grew out of them so fast. Good thing I'm a seamstress too :) I'm still going to go buy more new clothes but don't really want to buy too much because I won't be wearing them for long.

To celebrate my first week.....and our 32nd wedding anniversary, I went and had my hair styled. I'll be taking some pictures later to add to my photos so you can all see. I'm really turning into that new woman quite quickly ;)

Anyway, I"m doing great........hope you are all too.
