Hello Everyone! I am back home and doing really good! I'm so glad to be this far down the road and am anxious to get even farther down there! Surgery went fine and recovery went well..I don't remember any of it, but my hubby said when the nurses came to tell him I was in recovery, he asked them where my teeth were? (I have false teeth, have to remove for surgery) The nurse told him that was the first thing I asked for before they even got me settled in! Heh! That's me alright! I don't like to be seen without them!! I'm adjusting to the liquids just fine, everything is going just great! I have the best nurse in the world, my hubby, and my kids are all helping out, too, all they can! I'm anxious to get to sit on the loser's bench...and I'm on my way!! Thanks sooo much for all your prayers and concerns! You don't know how much they are appreciated!

The doctor told my Mom that she could come home this evening instead of waiting until tomorrow morning! ...so she must be doing pretty good!!! She just got home a little while ago and she's resting in her recliner now! She had a very busy long day but I think she's very happy to be home! :) I'm sure you will be hearing from her very soon now! :) It sure is good to see her back home! :) Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers! :)

Mom had her surgery this morning at 8am and everything went just fine! She was in surgery for 1 1/2 hours and then in the recovery room for an hour. When they brought her to her room, she slept most of the day. She did wake up once in a while and would try to visit with us a little bit but she usually fell back to sleep right away or at least rested. She said she was very sleepy. :) I'm so glad her surgery is behind her now and that she is "on the road to recovery!" :) Thank you again for all of your prayers and good wishes! :)

Darlene - you will do just fine with this surgery; just do what your doctor says and everything will be okay. I have lost 170 lbs in 2 years and 8 months at age 58. This surgery is awesome; but you must change your eating habits along the way.
