Eric T. Vaughn

" I was well aware of Dr. Vaughn due to the individuals I knew that had him for a surgeon. Once the intial consult was done I was positive of the surgeon and type of surgery I would have done. I also explained that this was my second application as I had been turned down in the past and he assured me that Barix Clinics would assist (cost free to me) to getting the approval and if legal steps where necessary Barix Clinics would be there for me. As was expected, the insurance company did turn me down, 3rd appeal was sent to Walter & Kelly Lindstrom, esq. of Obestity Law and Advocacy Center who took the case and approx. 6 months later it was approved. Two weeks after that I had surgery on 8/15/06 and haven't looked back. The confidence and experience for this situation is indescribable. Everyone has bad experiences with doctor's and hospitals and the dreaded insurance company but I would refer them to Dr. Vaughn and Barix Clinics in a hearbeat. Dealing with weight loss issues of this magnitude are hard enough but everything with them was as I had been told it would be and for that I am greatful. The Barix Clinic Office was great. Everyone was so understanding. Staff themselves knew what was happening with you when you walked in because they themselves had been through the same thing . Barix Clinics had a whole program to follow that was easy to understand, question, and follow. I was aware of everything when I went in due to the amount of research I had done in the past but being able to ask questions and get an answer from a real live person just made me feel that I had done the right thing and picked the right people. When the surgery and program were explained to me they told me the actual truth of what would happen from the day of surgery to aftercare for the rest of my life. The most comfortable thing was that I could call and talk to someone at any time for questions or concerns which I still do now 7 months post-surgery. If they can't answer my question they find someone who can and get back to me. Sometimes follow-up takes a little longer than I would like but I do understand since I have "been there and done that" at the clinic. For the seriousness of the procedure and the entire process from beginning to the end I have nothing bad to say. At this point, what happens is up to me. They helped me get a tool for weight loss that I can deal with and use on a regular basis, without worrying about life's up and downs. They have made a complicated issue easier to handle. They also did not make it me feel that I was a failure and for that I am forever greatful because they understood. I could go on and on but bottom line I made a great decision with Dr. Vaughn and Barix Clinics and will recommend them to anyone that asks."

Source of Life Liquid Multi-Vitamin & Mineral

"My doctor wanted me to switch to an adult vitalmin. I went to the Natural Food Store and this was a product they suggested. It came in a smaller bottle that I decided to try since I have gone through so many supplement. It is excellent and comes with green foods for the phyto nutrients that are recommended that we get every day. I will continue to use this product since it tastes great and has more than I probably need. I was warned of the dark green coloring but was assured of its great flavor."

Barix Clinics (NW Suburban Com. Hospital)

"Nurses were great, some even had the surgery so they were aware of issues that I had. They also shared their experiences and answered questions which helped a lot."
