When I was a teenager I was underweight - I swam about 30 hours per week and was very active. I hurt my knee and had to stop all of the exercise for a time. Then the "first love' of my life entered and I stopped exercising. I started to make bad few choices and unfortunately the "love" started to get very angry that I was gaining weight. The more I tried to loose the more I seemed to gain. Luckily we broke up but that started my "yo-yo" dieting and issues with food. I found my true love, got married, had two boys and still gained weight. I had tried so many different things to loose weight - was successful for a time but then always gained it back. My husband got sick and I focused everything on him. Just before he died I got my appointment with Dr. Hagen. He passed away in August 2007 and I got the call for my surgery in August 2008. I am so excited to get moving forward and looking after myself so I can have a better life and be there for my kids.
