"If my family had not stayed with me the entire time, I don't know if I would have recovered at all. It was nearly impossible to get assistance when needed. The room was so hot, I felt faint on a couple of occasions and maintenance ignored multiple requests to check the temp. One fabulous night they decided to wax the floors so they had machines, people, relentless noise in the hall and no one could come in or out of the room. 2 days post op, I suddenly couldn't catch my breath and I begged nursing staff to help me, they did nothing for me and didn't even notify my surgeon that I was in trouble. I had to call the dr office on my cell to get something done and I ended up in surgery a 2 nd time for a clot obstructing the small intestine and on 4 units of blood due to reaction to Lovenox. Again, if my family had not been there, I don't know if I would have come home! "
