Hi everyone...My name is Andrea and I am a 26 year old mother of 3. I am happily married but very unhappy with my weight. I haven't always been overweight. I was actually nicknamed "slim goody" in Highschool. Then Destiny came along. She stretched me like a rubberband but like all rubberbands I was able to bounce back. 4 years later I was back in the same mess. Took my hubby (boyfriend back then) to dinner and a hotel for his birthday in December and had Jada in August....you do the math
. We moved in together in December, got engaged in March and were smooth sailing from there. We planned our wedding date for April 15th 2006. I was about 190 then....but I carried it mostly in my hips and thighs so it wasn't too bad...or at least I thought. I started working out with a trainer and was down to 170 lbs by September. I was on the fast track...My wedding gown was sized at a 16 (true 12). On September 3, 2005 I had a horrible car accident. Between the painkillers, steroids, and being out of work for what seemed like forever, the weight started coming back on. Thank GOD I was able to call the bridal store and order my gown in a larger size. I was back up to 190lbs on my wedding day. We went on our honeymoon...7 beautiful days in St. Lucia. Sandals is the best...liquor, romance, food, and more liquor....can you guess what happend next?????? I came home pregnant
. I found out about 3 weeks later of course! I was on total bedrest the entire pregnancy due to the damage that was caused to my back and pelvis from the car accident. I hit a whopping 260lbs while I was pregnant. We had our third and final addition on 2/12/07. A healthy little girl that we named Samarah (Sammy for short...my grandfather wanted a namesake and his name is Sam).
Sorry to bore you all with my life story. I am currently 227lbs 5'2" and scheduled to have laproscopic RNY on 3/18/08. I've been lurking on this site for a while but my surgery is only two weeks away and I am scared to death. I am so happy that I have people in my corner that can relate.
