Interest in my already done, Lap Band.

My lap band Surgery was done on 9-8-08. For the 7 months Prior to that, I had been working toward RNY..............I was already drinking my Pre-op Carnation instant breakfast, when, 4 days before my RNY surgery, my Surgeon informed me that I COULD NOT have gastric bypass, due to my Celeosis. I cannot explain how Devestated I was. Anyway, I went ahead with the Lap Band Surgery. Since then, I have only been for 1 Fill, only seen my Nutritionist for 1 visit, and have been eating Way Too Much! Today, I decided that I had been Foolish long enough. I will try to utilize my Lap Band the way it is Planned to work. I will re-schedule the Fill and Nutritionist appointments, and will try hard not to kill myself with Food! All encouraging comments are Welcome.

My surgeon says I have a malabsorption disease, called celiac disease, in my small intestine.It is caused by a Protein in wheat, rye and barley products, that I can no longer ingest. Thankfully, it should clear up in about 6 months,(but, I will have to not eat any foods made with wheat, rye or barely, Forever). Anyway, I am having Lap Band Surgery on September 8, 08. That is only 4 days away! I am Excited, and am now on my pre-op liquid diet.
My Surgery Has Been Delayed

My Surgeon has delayed my RNY. (Scheduled for Aug.4th). He told me yesterday that the Iron content in my blood is Extremely low. I am seeing a blood Specialist on Aug. 5th................I was counting the days till my surgery!!

I have done every single thing required of me, Pre-Op. The only thing I am waiting on, now is Insurance Approval ! My Surgery will be at Vanderbilt Center For Surgical Weight Loss, In Nashville. I am so Ready to lose this excess weight, and to become more active.

I'm waiting on June 2008! Right now, I am on my required 6 month Diet. It will be over on June 20th.
