Dec. 26  I went to my PCP today for medical clearance.  He told me my lab tests stated I have a UTI and prescribed antibiotics. I have to return on Jan.2 to make sure it is cleared up...and the tests go on and on, but I know how important it is to be in optimum health before surgery...he also stressed that because of my age and COPD I am high risk for surgery- and wanted to make sure I was aware of risks- I am and am determined to improve my life and health with this surgery! I am going in with my eyes wide open. I trust in the Lord to see me through this!

I just got a date, January 5, 1030A>M> Please pray, am suddenly very nervous!

I  had my initial consult with Dr. Caruana 0n Oct. 13.  He approved me for surgery but said he is concerned about my breathing (smoking) problem.  I am down to 3 a day! It's hard-I have smoked for 40 yrs-but am determined to quit. I live with smokers - it's so hard.I got a call on the 31st from my insurance co. saying I am approved.God is good!Now I need to hear from Dr.'s office to set date!
